It can be hard to try and enjoy the present when there is so many things we have to get done in the day. And there are many things that we look forward to doing in the future. But it is good for us to enjoy the present time.Otherwise our time and our life will fly before we know it and all we will have focused on is the future.

I thought about this topic yesterday. This summer I am going to work 7 days a week and instead of living in the present I am constantly thinking about the future when I will finally have enough money for my trip. Summer is usually my favourite season, but this year I am impatient and I just want to the summer to end so that will be able to rest and hopefully have enough money for my trip. I want to enjoy the present as well and despite my work I have planned a few things that I want to do in July and August like visiting a island with some friends and going to a fair. I want to enjoy those activities and quit thinking about the future all the time.

I am going to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam in November and December this year. I am really excited about the trip and I have saved up some of the money that I need for the trip, but I still don't have enough money for the trip, and that it is the reason why I am going to work 7 days a week in July and August. If thing go as I planned I will have enough money for the trip in September and I will started buying my tickets, making reservations and all those things.

I hope that the summer goes quickly for you as well that way you are able to relax. Where are you going for your trip? I hope that all your hard work pays off and that you have a good time. It does take a lot to plan a trip especially the money part of it. That can make us anxious and stressed.

That will be a great trip. I'm sure that you will have a good time. Work hard and keep saving. We are planning a little trip for next month. So I've got to try and make any extra money that i can for a few more things we plan to do on our trip.

Even if you are busy, there are many things to do there is plenty of time to enjoy the present. The secret is to be aware of every step you take. If you pay attention to what you do, to whom you meet, handle one thing at a time you do enjoy the present too.

Yeah you make a good point. If we pay attention to what we are doing we enjoy what is happening in our life in those moments. Even when we are busy it would be good to do this, we don't want our life to fly by and realize we didn't enjoy very much. When we think about it, we are able to have clearer picture of what is important to us.

Past is past and lost is lost, who knows the future..But what we have in our hand right now is the present.Thats why its called present.(I just heard it somewhere). If you have so many things to do just enjoy doing it right now..Life is right now do whats possible to do, dont worry about the end result..Excuse me if am too philosophical!

No that makes a lot of sense. It is important that we make the most of our current situations. That we enjoy our family and friends now. And that we don't overly worry about the future. There is nothing wrong with planning. We just don't want to let what COULD happen in the future overtake our present life.

Hello! For me we should enjoy what is present. As they say make use of the time and enjoy it for tomorrow is another day. You know life is just a very short span in this world. One day had past, it will not noticed that our life is already one day past. So when it is everyday, may be the days past will make your life nearer to the destination. So enjoy every day for what God is doing it and thank God for it.

Yeah life is very short. Our life could be gone before we know it. It is best that we use each day and make the most of it. Tomorrow is not promised to us.

I think it's better to enjoy the present than worry much about the future. It's okay to PLAN for the future, but to worry about it will just ruin the present. The present will greatly affect what the future will be. So better make the present okay and have a wonderful future. =)

I completely agree with you. I think that this is an ongoing improvement process for me. I think I will need to stick more to my schedule that way I'm balanced with what I use my time for. I try to work online which seems to take a lot of my time. Then I strive to balance that with spending time with my daughter, husband and taking care of the home. Sometimes I get frustrated because if I feel I need to spend more time with my daughter. I remind myself though that it's important to spend time with her and that I shouldn't be to hard on myself as a lot of mothers have to work fulltime outside the home.
