My last post about how I wish things would change at work because of not enough manpower has finally being heard and now we have another person, a permanent employee on board. Yayyy!!! Actually, it has already started since early May where there were times of stress and frustrations, and everyone seems to notice or agree, well maybe not everyone he he he that my hands are full. So, the head said "to ease my burden", in the process, they have also reorganized the work structure in the department, meaning, those are SO free while others are having a hard time are now have more or equal responsibilities. I know there are other reasons and not because of my problems alone... well... at least it is beneficial to some of us. At this point, I am happy with the improvement.
If you have been in my shoes, share with us how did you fight for it? Do you think it's a common thing to 'threaten' to leave if you feel you deserve better?? I didn't use this method though, but maybe they saw it coming if no action was taken. Well, to those of you who are still struggling at your workplace, keep fighting and don't give up yet. ALL THE BEST!!!

I was offered a new job with good pay yesterday and really looking forward to start with a new company. The company is short of staff and business are growing. I ask the employer, what do they do when their staffs keeps on job hopping, this is what his reply,"we have a system that we implement so if any staffs leaves the system will still run". It all depends on the management, if they are good, the staff will be happy and stays loyal to the company, as they said, the staff are the assets to the company.

Hi, acrossnation. Thank you for your response. Yeah, I understand what you mean from the point of view of an employer. Sometimes, the staff who threaten to leave will think that they are the only reason that the business can run. Probably, in a short term they are true because even though there are many people out there who are looking for a job, but do they meet the criteria and training a new staff takes so much time especially during busy period. We could not give 100% focus, but in a long run, every thing will be back to normal and the management can say go ahead if you want to leave, but it only proves that they do not try to help or appreciate the staff unless of course this staff is a problematic one. Normally, a good management would seek for the solution of what has caused of the resignation. Like my ex-boss, he was a great boss, the management could not stop him because he was offered triple as much as his previous salary and the management could not afford to counter offer him that much. We are sad that he was leaving, but happy at the same time with his new endeavour. Well, I think it all depends on what we want and sometimes, if the only choice left is leaving, then, it is the best for everyone. Both sides will still move on and sometimes, have to start from scratch. Anyway, I wish you all the best in your new employment.
