Tell me if you like your name, why or why not? Tell me how your name makes you feel. Tell me what name you would have chosen for yourself if you had been given the chance.
I personally do not care for my name. It makes me feel ugly and it sounds so hard when pronounced. It was associated with negative conotations when I was growing up and to hear it spoken today brings back those same childhood negative conotations. I would have chosen Linda for my name.

hi, my name is koushika, and it carries the name of a saint, called otherwise as vishwamithra of Indian legend...i was a descendent of his line...and i m proud to carry my family's name...coz here in south India, especially in my state, people don't usually have family names...my name is a very big one...vamsi phanindra koushika...the first word is the name of the flute in Lord Sri Krishna's hands, the second denotes lord Subrahmanya, second son of Lord Shiva...this all seems so funny and confusing and hard to remember for u i guess...lol...but i took pains to explain this coz i love my name..:)

I don't really like my name. Why? Because everyone seems to have the same name as me. If you go into a shopping mall, sporting event or some other crowded place and yell "Jennifer" - about 50 people will turn and look at you like, "Are you talking to me?".
I don't know what I would choose instead. I just wish that my mom (who was a hippie) had been a little more creative or unique and chosen something other than the most popular name of the year - several years in a row.

I like my name very much! Thanks to my parents! It gives me the feeling of being king hehe. It's the name of a king, Biblically speaking I'm talking about King David: wise, powerful but also capable of having mistakes. In a way I'm like that too though not powerful LOL. Wise, yeah just a little bit at the same time I also make mistakes.
I wouldn't change it for any other name.

I do like my name. I just think it kinda fits me. I wouldn't have chosen another name for myself if I had the chance. My name was originally supposed to be Holly but my mom changed it right before I was born. I don't think the name Holly would have fit me though so I am glad she didn't name me that.

I once read a kid named Tonsilitis Jones and it brought him many problems. That is why I care about name =D. I used to think mine is so ordinary because too many people using it, but one day during my darkest hours, it was as if God spoke to me that He is the One who gives me my name, every aspect in my names breathes His identity, He does that because He loves me, that was when I started to see my names from different angles =D
BTW, Linda does sound nice! Have you named anyone or anyting under that name?

well, i've always had mixed feelings about my middle name...it's a traditional southern name, so of that I'm not concerned, but...my middle name is Gay. Now back when I was a child, it didn't bother me because this term was not used in a derogatory way. Nowadays, it is. I've had several slanderous remarks about it, I don't care about that, but I've always wanted the name of Elizabeth...it was my mothers middle name and her mothers first name, and i've always liked it..if i had ever had a daughter, i would have named her Elizabeth.
