Hi my inspirational motivators, I complete my second day of walking 10 blocks...I was a little sore this morning but I was happy with that. when I was in my third block I thought to myself, "I am not sure if I am going to make 10 blocks today or not". But as I walked I got that second wind and said "why not, I am already out here just keep walking". and thats just what I did and I made it.... I hope you guys don't get tied of me posting about but right now I am really really proud of myself...

That's great, bjc66bjc! Ten blocks is a long way to walk! Unless, of course, we're talking about the building blocks that the children build the buildings with. But even that could be a lot according to one's abilities. So, well done! It's great that you are continuing with your walking plan!

If you can do it every day that's what's important. It's awesome that you walked again today! Soon it will be a habit and you'll miss it if you have to skip a day.

By coming back and posting again today you have helped us learn a few things. One of them is that exercise can be hard, but it is good for us and we will notice changes. Another thing you taught us is that no matter how hard something seems, if we get started and keep going we will eventually get to the end. It is interesting to hear that you thought you would not make it, but eventually you did.

Good Job!! I do that same sort of thinking when I'm doing push-ups or sit-ups. And when I get so I can do them without it feeling too bad, I push myself to add one more and then one more. Now if I could use that same kind of self-motivation in quitting smoking, I'll be all set. Oh and I don't get tired of your posting about this stuff...it's inspirational.

I walked Sat. and again today. I walk to the ball field near our house and 2 laps on the track around the football field and practice field then back home. This took just over 30 minutes today. I used to be able to do it in less than 30 min. A friend told me he thought I was walking about one and a half miles. If I keep it up and get faster, I'll add another lap to my walk. Thanks for posting, you've got me moving again.

Congratulations! That's a great achievement indeed. I also find walking to be a great way of exercise. Since I don't have the time or money to go to the gym, it's a great way of exercising when I walk to my classes instead of taking the bus.
