Hello MyLotters!!!
Yes, it's true, I allow my kids to finger paint. I also sit with them and join in on the fun! We cover our table with plastic and start creating!
I love creating and teaching my children to be creative. They both love art, and I am very supportive of their interests and hobbies. We work together too sometimes to make art projects together. Last week, my kids make their own bird houses and panted them with yes, finger paints! (Non-toxic, of course!)
Other projects we have painted this way have been shirts, castles, rainbows, animals, and face painting. They are so creative and it feels my heart with joy! Just the simple things in life mean so much to me!
They also like making suprises for their daddy! He has Leukemia and their art work always makes him smile and feel more positive! You know, it's nice to make special gifts for other people. The time spent and the love put into those gifts are truely inspiring and meaningful! I love my little family, and I wouldn't trade them for anything! They are my happiness Every... Single.... Day!!
Be Colorful, Be You!!

Great bonding time with your kids that gives pure happiness and joy.Watching them and teaching them learn new things are really great and fulfilling.I don't have my own family and kids now but I used to bond with my niece and nephew by playing with them during weekends. One of our bonding time is watching cartoons or movies.

Hi ardoy0731!
It's wonderful that you are there for your niece and nephew! I've known a few parents in the past who didn't spend as much time with their children, because they had to work a lot. It's entirely not their fault, as they have to provide for their kids. However, I do feel that some parents need to make more time to spend with their children. They grow up so fast! Life experiences are so important, because they not only need to learn school subjects, but they need to learn about life and loving relationships as well. Not to say that just because a parent works so much, that their children are not receiving the amount of love they should. It's more about just bonding time, as you have expressed. Thanks for the comment! You are a wonderful aunt! Have a great day!

Hello My friend, Shamrack!
Aww, how very sweet of you to say this! It means a lot and you have been a good friend in the little time we have known each other. Yes, my kids are everything to me! I had a very hard childhood growing up. So, I know from my experiences just how it is to never have a mother. And I also know that it has made me a stronger person and a very dedicated mommy to my kiddos! They give me everything I didn't have growing up, if that makes since. I love them more than life, and I hope to be around for many, many years to watch them grow up and create lives of their own. I will be a very lucky grandma some day. For now, I am so happy and blessed each day with the children God has given to my husband and I. Thanks for such a special, heart felt comment. You are just wonderful!

Treasure those years with your young children. The days may seem long at times, but the years go by fast. Young children enjoy the process of art, sometimes more so than the result. They enjoy being creative for the sake of the experience of creating. We, as grown ups are often interested in the outcome or the finished painting, pottery etc. Finger painting is such an expressive creative outlet for young children. Enjoy every moment. And I hope for the best for your husband.
