Posting Auctions On Listia.com

I just spent the majority of my day posting auction son Listia. I have 6 of them. I have a few wallets up for grabs, a purse, a $10 iTunes gift card, ipod/cell phone case and a frog coin purse. I went on a cleaning spree recently and thought I should sell some things that I never use. I have three more purses I'm thinking of listing as well. One I might stuff with 4 hair products, 2 for men and 2 for women. Additionally, I have a book that I might put up as well as an unopened puzzle. But since these items are huge, I can't offer free shipping for them. I'm not working and don't have the money. Do you offer free shipping for your items? Are you even a member of Listia? Or do you prefer Ebay? Of so, have you auctioned anything recently. How much did you get for it? Or do you not use any of those websites?

Ive used ebay afew times. You should determine the price by what you paid for it and the condition of the item. The bigger items the buyer can pay the postage. Ebay figures that in for you. If you offer free shipping on the smaller items just add a dollar or two to the price. That should cover it.

I used to sell at our local flea market. I still have some of the stuff. Too good to get rid of ina garage sale. Its all new stuff anyway. People dont sell new stuff at garage sales. Once when i was having a garage sale. I had a pair of new jeans with tags still on it. I was trying to get my money back on them and this guy was wanting to buy then for a dollar. A new pair of jeans that i paid $18. for. I would have returned them to the store but it was way past the time limit and i no longer had the reciept. People can be like that at the flea market too. I had a new dress that i was selling for $25. the lady thought i meant .25. Why would i sell a new $25. dress for .25??? Lol people. I have sold some of the stuff on ebay but then theres the pic price and listing cost too.

Thanks for the tips. I don't usually sell on eBay though. I usually buy instead. On Listia, I usually offer free shipping.

I am a member of Listia. I really like the site. I have gotten so many nice things from there and it is so nice when you don't have much money to spend... I list small things like Gift cards, bookmarks, stickers, earrings, etc so all it ever costs me is a stamp or 2 and an envelope. And I have gotten many points and got a lot of neat things. I got a shirt, jewelry, shoes, dvd's and make up! =) I really like the site. I think it is definitely worth it. For bigger things I use Craigslist to sell.

That's great! I will become a fan of you on Listia. M username is the same one I use here. What's your favorite item you won on Listia? What's the highest bid you got on your item?

My name on there is Jstarchick55. Definitely fan me! =) My favorite item I won on there was my kids Caillou Dvd, they watch it over and over! It was definitely worth it! The highest bid I have gotten is 2000 credits for a gift card I listed.

Shipping in general is mad expensive. It stinks! But yeah, I decided to have a garage sale too. Can't afford to list stuff with free shipping and a lot of people won't bid I'd it isn't. Good luck with the garage sale! Let me know how it goes!

Hi. Of course I recognize you! It isn't only for US residents. I've seen a member from China before. It's like eBay. Members on Listia bid on what you list and you send the item to the winner.

This is the first time I've heard of Listia. I'll check into it. I usually sell things by eBay although I've only sold one thing so far and will be getting back into selling thins soon.

On Listia, you bid with credits that you earn by auctioning things. You use those to bod on items instead of money. It's an interesting concept.

I offer free shipping on a few of my items here and there, but it gets too expensive so ive recently started charging s&h on most of my listings. I used to use Ebay, and i think ill get back on there again soon. Listia seems to be good for getting stuff you want when youre low on funds.
