I have always wondered this. Women see the Kitchen as their birth right and they are naturally endowed to know how to cook especially in Africa. But all cooking competition I have known between men and women, the men always win the contest as the meal are judged to be the best. Women will continue to pride the themselves that the male folks cannot cook but the men will remain mute and defeat them in contest. So my question is Do women cook better than men or do men cook better than women?

Tough call. If you look at the restaurants, the kitchen is usually always run by a male chef. While at home our kitchens are usually run by our female counterparts. I'm gonna take position here: men cook better, while women cook more.

It really does depend on the person and really not the gender that they have. There are just many times in the past, that women were considered to be the awesome cooks right out there in the world. While men were someone who shouldn't even be allowed near the microwave. That is an absolute misconception that has been blown right out of the water.
I really think that in the end, it really depends, but obviously it is still an absolute shock to some than men can't cook. Granted, I can't, but many men can and it is the cause of surprise and in some case, some absolute snickering right behind the back of the man. Of course, there are times where men are going to just be able to cook rather well and it really surprises some. Then again, it really does depend on your tastes as well.

I think men cook better...not to mention, but I am also a better cook than any female friends that i know of..They have became lazy and dependent on their male spouses now. Things are changing. wE Males were always a better cook, but we were lazy and kinda dependent. It's vice versa now.

For questions like this my friend, i think you are holding a grenade in your hands with the pin pulled.
Both men and women are equal in their abilities to cook well. It is deemed that men are better at making barbecues, but again i feel this is sexist as women are just as good...

Men and Women are both good cooks.
But for me no offence to women, men are the best due to the 1 fact which i think is real and that is men dares to "experiment" with their cooking.
Women, chef or just normal women cooking at home, they cook with their motherly instinct or wanting to provide the best food for their children.it is more tender, loving and care type of cooking.
while men, they dare to be different, they dare to try out things.Hence you'll see on channels like Asian food channel, the chef are mostly men, Gordon Ramsey, that british guy i forgot his name, quite young, martin yan, well i can only name a few.

I think women are a bit awkward in cooking. They can not assume or balance the quantity of how much cooking elements are needed to finish a recipie. Men can easily master the skills or arts of cooking. I think power of assumption of a man is much more than that of a woman. I dont know why such happens.

hello! My thinking before is that only women knows how to cook. But i came to realized that men are also cooking. For me as I observed men are mostly a good cook than women. As I see in mostly in the big and well known restaurants globally, mostly their cook are men. So for me men is likely good cook than women. May be because women in the home is our cook, they cook just to feed the family, but i professional cook mostly they are men.
