Elementary Classmates

Well it depends on how much you know each other. However I think that this is true. Just your teacher haven't seen you for long time and now feel like you are other person because you are different now. I actually had the same scene once but I just went to talk with my teacher and she recognised me and we started talking.

It that person is just mere acquaintance, then it would be awkward for me especially if the name skipped my mind already. but other than that, I guess no. I still get in touch with those people whom I consider my friends during elementary days, that's why. But it's a nice feeling seeing people again from your past.

I think it is awkward at times especially if it has been quite a long time because you do not know what to say or what to talk about.. you would even not even sure if the classmate you saw would remember you if you were the first one to approach and try to talk to the person. =)

Maybe its awkward when you're not really that close when you were in elementary. When you're best of buddies, I think both will exert an effort to communicate.

hi, First of all don't mind and don't get disturbed because of the said act of your old classmate. Because she has already told you that she is shy. And because of her said attitude she did not openly talked to you in the beginning. But she is interested in having a conversation with you. Because she has replied on Facebook. Really? Maybe she was shy because she had a crush on you since you were on elementary ahah nah....Maybe some people does feel awkward,people change overtime, or maybe she wasn't expecting that you guys should meet that moment that she looked away.I remember some of my elementary classmates, I even met one on the jeepney,he didn't recognized me :)

Yeah, awkward and funny... but humbling also. That's the time i realized that people remembers us not just because of the big things that we did but also for the small things that made a difference in their lives. So as they always say, Live a legendary life (in a good way though lol) ---Thanks---

Most of my elementary freinds were also my high school friends, so it is not so awkward.. But those friends whom i only became friends with in elementary, for a short time.. it is quite awkward and i do not like t talk to them first since i am not even sure if it is really them.. a lot has changed.. It happened to me once, we stared at each other for a few times until she approached me and i confirmed that it was en elementary friend.

i also do the same thing looking in other direction or pretending not to see anyone. haha. I am scared that maybe he/she doesn't recognize me after how many years. Good thing you made your first move. :)

For me yes. It is because of the long time that we haven't meet. I am scared that that classmate will reject me if i say hi or he/she might not notice me. I sometimes play blind,haha! Or when i meet her eyes and she meet mine, I will also look in the other direction, and she would do the same thing! Reading your discussion makes me remember those moments. They are very funny. I always have that kind of experience at the university. And when we meet again, we would just burst to laughter for not noticing each other. :)

It's probably awkward to the both of you because it's like you're supposed to know eachother, but you don't. You know? You had the chance to grow together as children, but didn't take it.

No, it is not awkward to meet old friend. But for some it is. Perhaps, they are not confident with their life or they really are a shy-type person.

Maybe the reason why she feel awkward is because she did't know what to do or she has a crush on you before ^^. That's what I felt when I saw my schoolmate in elementary because before I have a crush on him. ^^

Well that usually happened all the timr especially when dont see each other for quite long period of time. There will have awkwardness and hesistant to recognize each other.We might be afraid if he or she is the person you know or do they still remember you.
