I've been researching about them since those are what made my teeth lose its enamel(outer part).. wow.. i only thought sour foods are high in acid.. yeah, most fruits are acidic.. but vegetableS? Frozen food and mil products too.. my favorites.. beef, pork, seafood, fish, lamb, organ meat...Coffee, tea and soft drinks..i guess i'd have to avoid them or at least limit consumption.

I suggest that you don't stop eating fruits and vegetables. Instead try to prevent eating dairy products such as milk and cow meat. Do not take out oat meal though but take out your intake on white rice. It's not acid that will take out your tooth's enamel. It would be bacteria and bacteria loves anything sugar. White rice is sugar and sugar can be found in different dairy products too (yes, sometimes on flavored oat meal too so eat only the pure organic tasteless oatmeal). By the way, floss and toothbrush frequently. And try to research more before you take out anything that your body really needs to eat.

Did you know that oatmeal actually speeds up the rate of uric acid accumulation if taken in regularly? Excessive amount of uric acid in the body could result to gout. So it's better that you stick with the rice, brown rice to be specific. It has more vitamins compared to oats but a bit lower fiber content. But still its better than to have gout later on. Continue to eat your rice and don't forget to practice proper oral hygiene.

lol. Who said to eat oats everyday? I eat oats every other day because I need the fiber. I even chew on raw cabbage because I need the fiber still. But of course, I balance my "uric acid" by drinking lots and lots of water and eating sea foods like guso, lato, nori and other plants that can be found in the sea. White rice is not recommended anymore by natural healers because white rice is equals to sugar. I eat black rice and red rice by the way. I once tried the brown rice but I prefer black rice because of it's health advantage over all the rice.

I guess you could perhaps eat more vegetables, especially with lots of minerals, like Roman salad and maybe dandelion leaves that have newly come up. They taste really good in a salad and get minerals from their deep roots. The dentists here recommend that we should not eat too often but let the saliva protect our teeth between the meals. We cannot avoid fruits - they are so good for the health and they also have a part in giving us minerals..

Wow! That seems pretty upsetting doesnt it? I would have never thought that there could be such a high number of foods that could cause this problem for your teeth.. Are you sure? No dentists have ever told me this or warned me for my childrens sake. Do you have floride in your water? We do, but if we didnt then its recommended for keeping your teeth healthy. But I am not sure if that would help to protect the enamel. I would ask the dentist about things to help with this.

What does your dentist say? It seems that different people have different Ph in their saliva and it has nothing to do with food. That is, it has to do with the way food and saliva mix. So brushing after every meal is important.

Whats bad are tempting. Those you've mentions are yummy ones unfortunately intake of too much about it may cause us nothing good. But it depends on how you manage your diet. Thats good if you have to just limit your consumption, because even those foods have bad effects they are still needed by your body. So the only thing to solve this is to eat a balanced diet!Hooray

Oh wow, thanks for sharing. I drink a lot of soda and milk and I feel like i've always had sensitive teeth. Maybe this is why. Next time I go to the dentist I'll mention how sensitive my teeth are and maybe I'll finally get an answer and hopefully a solution to the problem.

Yeah the food in these days is just awful. We just don't know what we eat. The difference between that food and the food made in your home or made somewhere by ECO way is huge. So like you say it is good to be limited a little bit or if the money are not so big problem you could try buying food from ECO shops.

You should rather cook your food by yourself. So that you would really know if its fresh and buy fresh ingredients so that you could avoid acidic processed foods.
