Have you tried it?
Well, for instance of course, you left the key somewhere and you have to get into your house since there was a spare key inside. It's funny how people do this...feels like a thief on your own house!
Actually, I did! well, sort of...cause I am afraid of heights and I was with my sister who is smaller than me. she did climb our gate the time we really are in a hurry situation. We forgot something inside the house that we ended up climbing into the gates...wohoho I tried but the gates was too high and having long legs can somehow fear me more cause I have to leap higher and cross my legs over to the other side, whioch I find it hard to do cause there's no other metal to hold on to...
Anyways, have you tried it? We are laughing really hard when we are in the situation cause we are visible to people passing on the street...

I tried climbing up across our gates when I was, like 8 years old? And the gate or our house wasn't even locked, I just wanna try climbing over it even if it's thrice higher as me that time. I was able to reach the other side but when I tried it for the second time my dress (yes, I'm a girl and I did some boy's things) was caught/lodged between the metals so I couldn't get down without my friend removing the cloth of my dress from it. After that I didn't try to pull that stunt ever again. LOL!
I experienced going through the window of our house, it's the fire exit so it's not as exciting as climbing over the gate in my younger years but there's still the thrill of feeling like a ninja in the dark and breaking in into your own house, LOL! My mom had forgotten the keys inside so we little ninjas saved the day. XD

Wow, jhustinian! You are such a climber huh? Have you tried wall or rock climbing as well? Maybe you are good in it. Since you are a girl, it is most likely few girls who have the ability of climbing and acts like gymnastics, well I really don't know but it looks great when a girl is good at it though.
Haha, like a ninja? so you played the ninja back into the house when you are still young? Because mother left her keys? yeah, when you are young, it is more likely a big door for you to open and break into your own house! lol
But yeah, it feels like an action film where you are the one who is the main actor and doing the ninja thing...^_^

Hello again,justy!
nice profile picture you got huh? love it! ^_^
Well, I maybe like you. I have this feeling that I can climb or jump but then when I am on the situation, I suddenly hurt myself and discontinue the climb and if I jump, I am sure, something may hurt...
Well, at least we tried, right? But I do hope in time, we may be able to learn to climb and jump without hurting ourselves and reaching the top!
Are you with me? It's just in the spirit of positive thinking and practising! lol
Yeah, I can't climb a tree as well.I have tried before, but then like I said, I can't make it to the top. Even if rooftops or high floors using ladders. I still have the fear of reaching it though it was just a few inches away... :(

Well unfortunately I'm really clumsy and have low stamina, so even if I want to try extreme sports and stuffs that require high physical ability, I'm so not gonna make it through. :-/ I don't have the same courage as before, I guess I only did that (climbing over the gate) because when we were young, we tend to forego the ideas of accidents, we weren't aware of any drastic outcomes that may befall us. But now, I don't think I can try doing things that I know I'm not capable of, I know my limits now. And for the record, I don't even know how to climb a tree to save my life.^^
I actually like the thought of climbing up the roof and just stay up there to stargaze, but my mom won't let me do it. And once I did it while I'm in a vacation in my Auntie's (I'm already a teenager then), because I seized the chance of no one hindering me from doing so. I was afraid and could not step on the roof at all so I decided to just climb down (I used a ladder by the way) but I end up spraining my ankle because my SUPER kind cousin removed the ladder because he thought I can jump down, 6 ft. from the floor. Well, that proves I'm not really fit to pull those stunts. Haha! Athough I still wanna go up in the roof, but only if I know I'll be safe and if the roof structure is kinda reliable. ^^ LOL! Sorry, I'm blabbering, it's just great to reminisce (mis)adventures. :D
What can I do? I'm still a kid back then, and as much as possible we make things more exciting than it already is. ^^

No, i've not tried it because we are living in apartments here, there's no front gate for us to climb before getting into the house. There are instances, reports of owners climbing into their flat via windows along the corridor. If neighbours are familiar with owners, it's alright, if not they are bound to take them as burglars, trying to break into the house. There's one extreme case where the owner entered his flat via kitchen window which is very dangerous.

hahah, there are many passers by that time when we are climbing our gates and it was day time. We are laughing when we did that so, i guess people might think that we really live in the house.
Oh, we are out of the house and heading for swimming but then the swimming pool attendants said that we can't swim with cotton suits. so we huried back home and since it's just few blocks away. We also have a tenant living inside so, they are the ones who locked the gate, we didn't have key from gates. we only have house key. so we don't have a choice. funny and scary experience at the same time. My sister laughed cause she immediately climb fast without any hassle. She said she has a future on climbing and breaking into other people's houses... of course she's kidding there! ^_^

I actually have done that and plenty of times , so I do have a lot of experience on the subject . Mostly I had to do it because someone else had the key and they were not expecting me to be home so soon . It can be quite embarrassing if a passer by spots you but you just have to ignore them , because you're not doing a wrong thing and then again they don't know why you're doing it, also you cannot explain what exactly you're doing it to everyone that glances at you when you're doing it .
the climbing part in my case is quite brief its the rest of the actions involved in the process of breaking in to my own house that takes more time .
for instance there's this window in my house that is right next to a door that can be opened from inside so I borrowed a huge metal rod from my neighbors rammed it through the wire mesh , punched a hole into it and then reached in to open the door.
Another time, I got locked outside but luckily a window was open but it had narrow grills for security but I was able to reach in with my arm to open another much smaller grill-less window , it was really small but I'm quite slim so I was able to squeeze myself in.
Now all these instances made me feel proud about my physique and skills but it also made me feel vulnerable about how easily one can break into my house in a matter of minutes with the help of a blunt metal rod.

I have seen in your profile you are just 18, and you're slim so it makes you easier to fit through the grills of your house or another person's house... so, meaning you have the ability to break into other people houses...
Same as your own house, you must really have spare key on your own to avoid that climbing and reaching for window to open and entering just like that. As well as those who sees you when you are climbing to your house, learn to avoid it cause you might get hurt or be in a worse situation you don't want to happen...

what's your purpose on climbing your own house? just for challenge? have your neighbors senn you doing that? what did they say then?
The picture I have in here is just a cartoon. how did you say it's a thief? it's just a cartoon of a boy going down from the window, isn't it?
Or are you talking about the main picture I have inserted in here...I just downloaded and inserted in here from another site. It's just that the feeling is like a thief cause it's not a normal thing you do in everyday when coming in to your house, isn't it?

Hahahhah! I sure did Annavi! In fact, i had been doing that during my college days! Take note, i climb our gate even with an A-line skirt! hahahah!
For security, my folks would lock the gate at 9pm. However so, i would come home at 10:30 due to late choir practice. I didnt want to ring the doorbells because i dont want to wake anybody from their sleep. So, i had no choice but to climb my way in hahahaah! From climbing the gate, i would have to jump over at 7ft! What a stunt i had been doing! In the morning, my brother told me that he could swear he heard a looooooooud thud on the ground. hehehehe!

What? you are always doing this and in skirt and 7 ft tall gate? I wonder what your gate looks like, Well, i think it has no thorns at the top that makes it easier for you to climb up and down to it huh?
If I am in your shoe, I would definitely laugh and be scared at the same time doing such things...
It might really be hurtful every night huh? why not have a spare key instead of hurting yourself then?

Hi anavi: Thanks happen here. I'm too afraid about the heights that I think I won't do it. You can call me a coward but if I have to catch something that is on the ceiling, I'd try to do it using something like a broom but if definitely I can't, I would try to call my brother or a professional

Such a cutie but haven't tried climbing yet? pretty interesting huh?
Oh well, not everyone has abilities to climb and have guts and courage to be in a high place. But are you serious you have to call a professional to do this thing?
I'm sorry I'm not insulting you or anything...just like you, I am afraid of heights as well! ^_^
Have you tried reaching things using a ladder instead? :O

One time, I tried to do that or at least I had the intention to do, but then I came to my senses. My house climbing up of it is something that can be done, but it is also one of the most dangerous things that I ever might do right out there. Of course, all of my windows upstairs are locked, so I would have to find someway to break it, which is another danger in itself.
A funny story that happened before I was born, but I was told my father years later, about the time where he had to break into the house. Not because he forget his key or anything like that. You see, there was a really bad snow storm and he was caught outside of it. Therefore, he had to force his way into a window. He made it somehow. Of course, the windows my parents have now are much smaller and a small child would have trouble squeezing through them. Much less a full grown adult.

hello megamatt, thanks for sharing your story.
it is good indeed to climb at our own houses, but be sure that you have a purpose why you are doing it.
sneaking into the small window might be really hard. i just hope there won't be emergencies where you really have to squeeze in your way in or out...

No, and at my age I don't think I'll start any time soon. Actually, we leave a key with our neighbor just in case we get locked out, which has only happened a couple of times over the years. The real reason she has a key is in case we get held up at the hospital (hubby is quite ill) and she'll come down and check on our dog for us. I don't think I'd survive trying to climb into my house or over the fence. Physically, I might be able to manage. But I think I might die laughing.

I didn't climb into my house. But I did climb my neighbours'. Well, literally there were no neighbours as they sold the house to somebody else who came there to live 3 days later. My soccer ball accidently dropped into their yard. I climbed the wall, but then I saw a window left open. I sneaked in. No harm done to me at least. It was some experience.

Hello navoptimus! :)
Quite an experience... i just hope the house isn't haunted.
cause you know, back then, we were teenagers that time, the house within our street near our house has been vacated for so long time and it feels like it's already haunted but then we still go there to pick plants as our food or hang our clothes in their backyard. it does look creepy. the window has a broken glass on it so, you can see what's inside. I can't remember if wwe had sneak there, but if we are, it would be a scary one...

Yes, annavi23, I have had times when I've had to find unconvential egress into my house.
Most of the time, I simply have climbed into a window. One time, however, I had to climb onto the roof and climb through the skylight. This was very dangerous since the skylight was in a cathedral ceiling, and I had to drop a very long way. Fortunately, I landed on the bed. The bed did not break. It was the strong bed.

I've had to do it a great many times, and I've had to do it getting into a friend's house before as well. At least when it's my house and I'm climbing in, I know which windows are open and where to climb. Plus, I can always prove it's my house if anyone thinks I'm a thief. My friend's house...not so much. That was far more suspicious looking, since I had to spend ages scouting out for an open window and testing different parts before I found a way in. I definitely looked like a thief, I'm just glad nobody saw, I don't know how I'd have explained it.

Hello vastari, why did you climb on a friend's house? If you are not doing something indecent, why would you do so and what made you do that then? Maybe if you keep on doing that, someone will eventually caught you and report you to the police...
Why did you also do that to your house? what are you escaping or doing why not pass through the gates without climbing instead?

I never knew u are a thief!!! haha SO u added another set of skill to your current ones, brilliant huh I'm amazed when u mentioned u have fear of heights but that didn't stopped u form breaking into your own house, so what is more important? Your house key or your safety? If i were to do that in singapore, the moment i came out of my house, i would have policemen standing outside welcoming me.. haha. That's how free our neighbours can be, and how efficient our police are.. haha

Later i started thinking what to do then i decided to climb my house and i have to open the inner lock of the door by breaking the window glass!!! huffffffff!!!!!!! it was really horrible but on that situation i din't know what to do. Finally i went inside the room then my friend called me and told that i left my house key in his house!!!!! Really got angry on myself.

Hello lou_is!
Oh my! what a painful experience and you really jammed your window? What did you use to break your window glass? your hands? What the...
I just hope you did think of throwing stone instead or using hard wood or metal or something to break it... well, too sad that you have injured and broke your own glass.
But happy that your friend had said that she has your house key... at least she is honest...
you look like this one in the picture! lol ^_^
