What Do You All Know About 'Swatting'?

I have been hearing about the act of swatting. This is the placing of 911 calls about someone shooting or holding kids hostage at a particular location.
That particular location is always the home of a Conservative blogger.
I think we know who is making that phone call, from a computer to make it harder to trace. What is it about our Liberal friends that they simply can not fathom that others just do not agree with them?
I have not had the chance to track all of this down...

I am afraid I just heard it on the radio, just now.
I think it is probably their way of trying to say that blogging, or speaking out against the 'state' is or should be illegal.
I am going to try to track this down, in between the work I am currently on, and see what is happening. I heard it real quick so the phrase might actually have been 'squatting' which does not sound right in context, but then, they never really are much concerned about context anyway.

mickeyb123..I just came across the term in reading Michelle Malcolm..it is swating.. as in calling in the swat team. These hoaxes are such a waste of tax payer money but seems to fit in the political climate now...Thanks for helping me learn a new term..

Hello mickeyb123
I have never heard of this swatting of which you speak. This is news to me.
There was a guy in my town, once, who placed a sign in his yard saying foul things about the political party he didn't like. It was most disgusting and, I think, caused more harm to himself than to the party with which he disagreed.
