After you reach 100 posts, the star will appear next to your name. The number is based on the rating system. The higher the number the better. Meaning the more People are giving you a positive rating (the plus sign). Looks like your doing very well, seeing that you are a 7 all ready! :) Keep it up!

Hi nikki3! I just want to add some to this discussion, the star before your name does not go hand in hand in one direction with the number after your name. I can see some members have stars with 7 to 9 with even less than 300 responses. Quality here is all that matters, the quantity may contribute to the star, I think. Good luck to us.

Mylot will give us the rank after we reach 100 posts.And then the total rank is 10,and i think this greatly help us know that where we are at mylot and most importantly,quality counts.And the qualified posts you wrote,higher rank you are.Good luck and hope this can help.
