From an article today, the statistics combine with reality, financial issue, or money do a lot of influence on a couple in relationship. Especially many married couples might end up divorce due to financial problem. So, if you really want to commit a relationship with your significant, and at the same time, you have a financial or money issue, better to be honesty with your partner, than simply hide the fact from each other, because the ending might be ugly. I had a friend who divorce his wife 5 years already, the ultimate reason they split, my friend might have some financial problem, and she just won't like the fact he didn't honest with her right the beginning. Nowadays, many people who graduate from college might have some student debts. Such information should be shared before you commit to a marriage. What do you think?

I think, financial issues can always be a deciding factor to have a successful marriage. It saddens me that a lot of married people nowadays resort to separation because of money. I know for a fact that this can be ugly but we need to admit it, it takes 2 to tango. My wife and I are really working night and day to earn and save enough money to have a secured future. We still don't have kids but we are working it out. As much as possible, we fix whatever problems we have before going to bed, get some help if needed.

hi,
for me,i think that is not the main reason or biggest issue that will affect a relationship between couples, because for me the first reason is the trust of both couple are the biggest issue and the money is only at the second of it.because in money we know it could be gone and could have it but the trust is only there and we need to protect it.

Money, so any influence. Money, can make all the relationships being bad. Relationship with the child's parents, brother with sister, relationships with family, relationships with friends, as well as the relationship of husband and wife, could be bad for the money. I experienced this. Money makes my relationship with my husband, with parents, with my sister, and with friends, be very bad. Worst of all, is money affect my married life. Because of money problems, marriage becomes very messy.

While money is indeed something that couples fight about I don't think it's the real issue when they break up. There are plenty of happy couples who are in debt. There are also many couples with lots of money who are not happy, therefore break up. It's not the problem of money, it's the way you deal with the problem that matters. If you love and respect your partner but have money issues, you will find a way to work it out.

Sometimes money is the root of all arguments in a relationship. Yes, before i saw both my neighbor yelling at each other because of debt and the sad thing is that they are close friends. Also, the parents of my cousin are fighting with each other because of money. But for me, money is should not be the reason why two people should break up. Love is there then why put your life around money.

Yes. Money or finance factor reflects so much on our personal relationship. If you say love can over take this issue. You are wrong. It is only false imagination. Where the is money, there is love, affection and every thing. It is the reality. Don't be in dreams. Be practical.

Here in my country money is the main reason why the marriage is getting failed, in the tradition the wife is the responsibility of the husband, normally wives here are not working because they are the one who must take care of the kids as well as the husband. Also she is charge of the financial budget of the house. She must be good in spending the money her husband provide for the whole family. The wife has no personal money because she has no work. She is dependable on her husband. And sometimes the husband is keep on asking where is their money. Since the husband is only working and no idea how much the wife is spending they ended up fighting. And if the girl decided to get to have a job they will be fights also because they have to hire a nanny and it is always the wife fault if there is something happened to the kids. This happens when the status of their living is only i the middle. Most couple decided to go abroad the husband or the wife so that someone has to provide all the things they needs.

Randy and I had some debt before we got married (Randy had two repos and I have student loan debts), but we were honest with each other. Randy's repos are now wiped off because it has been more than 7 years and I am still in college (working on my second Master's). Randy is also in college and we both have student loans. I always share everything with Randy and so does he. I am in charge of the finances and after our bills are paid we take out a certain amount each week for spending. We never buy anything unless we ask and when we spend money on gifts for each other we look at the budget and see what we can afford. I have two credit card bills that have gone into collections (because Randy is out of work and is waiting for Social Security to kick in), but I am planning on making arrangements to pay them off. I agree that all couples need to dicuss things.

I believe we should not hide from our partner regarding money matter especially with regards to debt so that he will understand what kind of situation you are at the moment and perhaps he can help you out with it and vice versa.

I too believe that transparency in money matters is utmost important thing for a successful married life.Money matters can make or break a relationship. As a judicious management of financial resources at both ends can strengthen the relations whereas carelessness and enjoyment at the expense of other can add to friction.

I think if you just love your partner, I don't think financial issue matters. With understanding comes love. In my relationship money isn't a big issue. I've been married for 4 years now and I admit we have problems with money but that made no issue with us. In my country main reason why couples separated... it's due to third parties mainly I guess.
