Hi, welcome back.... You might wanna try manual uninstalling of each program. just go to Control Panel and then choose Remove Program and then choose the program you wantto remove.

Hey kyle2krystel! Now this time I am the one wondering where you have been - hee hee!! I was busy moving and unpacking the past two weeks - so I really haven't been around a whole lot myself. Glad you are back!! My daughter hasn't learned how to download stuff yet, but oh gosh we're going to have to make her ask us before doing so - knowing her she will get carried away with downloading! My father in law knew how to use a computer to get online - in a basic sense - but he didn't understand that by downloading whatever he wanted, he was also getting viruses - that was a very frustrating fix for my hubby. Hope it all gets resolved soon for you!!!

Hi there, Looks like you got your answers on how to remove the programs so I won't repeat. I have to say that I do understand your anger . I had just gotten this laptop...probably had it for less than a month. My daughter came over while I was at work and downloaded some music download site. Well it started out just slow but it did not take long before the computer just crashed. I was livid!! I had told all my girls that I did NOT want things downloaded to my computer. Brand new computer and there I was shelling out 80.00 ..,,Not one of my better memories.

There few options: When we use add/remove programs, it doesn't complely grt rid of most junk, try using ccleaner. You know that as I did told you that a while ago if I recall. If the above doesn't take care of problem, it help to remove hard partition or using zero drived utilities (use the ones of your hard drive manufacturer), yes, it does mean that everything will removed including your operating system so you can install your operating system. However, before using this option, make a backup of important files and documents. By restarting your system as clean drive usuall help but it time consuming. Regards

I forgot to mention that few laptops has recovery image partition so that you can re-install operating system via bios. Again by using a zero drive utilities, be sure it doesn't remove recovery image partition. It's important having system recovery CD/DVD created before and have a bakckup of most important files before using any hard drive utilities!

I suggest using system restore and restoring it to the condition it was in before your niece got hold of it.

This is my problem. How to prevent other people download too much on my computer? We don't lend to many people. That's the best way.

I know from experience that downloading a lot of games can be a hassle. These games may be fun to play, but what they don't tell you is it doesn't completely get rid of them. I've uninstalled them before but for some reason the traces are all still there, and it lags the computer quite a bit. Some don't even show up on the uninstall menu and so have to be uninstalled manually. I'd instruct your niece never to use your laptop again without your permission and supervision.

Now you may be aware that which all are the additional software got installed and find some time and uninstall all those unwanted programs and remove all the directories and associated files, if any, still lying in the downloaded areas (many be in program files) and remove it. Also can try the recommendations suggested by other experts from myLot. Again, anyone using your computer in your absence, instruct them not to install unwanted programs. Is found so necessary, they can copy on to some external discs and when completed with the use, can be uninstall and keep the laptop free with the junks. Welcome back...

your computer has one or more viruses on it, all you need to do is use your anti-virus software and do a scan of your pc, it will take a while but that should get it running like it was before..)

Go to you default download folder. The default download folder is in users/(name of you pc/laptop/Downloads. You can see all unwanted files there and delete it so that you can have a free space. Make sure you also delete what's on your recycle bin. You can also do defragmenting to free some space also. But wait, do your laptop had a partitions? if not create a partition first and provide a new default Download folder in that partition so that it will not stuck in you system partition. You can use EASEUS partition manager to create a partitions. This will maximize you system disk drive for not having unwanted files. You can also moves some files in you new partitions. For example, you create Video partition from there move all videos in your Drive C: to you new Drive partition, you can name that Drive to Videos.
