Hello MyLotter's, Bloggers!! Hehe
My friends, I have an important question for you....
Okay, So I am a writer myself but never have I written blogs.. not yet anyway!
So, my question is...What is the difference between writing a blog and writing an article?
Is is more story and experiences? I know in articles it's mostly about facts of the events, situation or story.
Is it more of a personal nature..way of writing?
I guess I am confused on what a blog really consists of.
I would love to start my own blogs I just need to know what content is apporiate and what the steps are..rules.
Any suggestions?

Writing a blog is as you say, more private. You're talking form your point of view and putting some personal matter into it - well, at leas when you want to - writing an article has 'rules' of sorts when writing blog don't have them, smiply because it is yours, you don't have to think about 'if editor will post it because of 'this' and 'this''. Any content at all is appropriate, well it is your blog it depends on you what is in it, what you're writing about, it could be just your life, if could be, well recipies for example, or reviews of movies/books/series. You can put there anything you want. I would of course suggest to be nice and polite to people (because there are haters everywhere) and try to not offend any one in any way, otherwise you're free with your blog

Caener, I love that blogging allows us to create our own perceptions. I am big about including my own feelings and ideas, views and so on into my writings. It's just a big part of who I am; very passionate person. I love writing reviews too, as it allows me the same structure. Blogging, orthe attemt to is very fasinating idea! I cannot wait to start mine, as I have so much in store for my potential readers..Thanks ofr your advice! I will surely use it to the best of my ability!

Hi there, you are going to love the blogsphere! It's a magical world, just don't erase your blog or something when you get a little demotivated, it will be worthed to continue okay? I think you could go throug that phase.
I think you mean the article is something you'll write for article websites, work from home jobs online and sites like these. A blog, if you are not writing for another blogger will be writing to add content to your own page/blog/site. I hear you can write articles for other bloggers and be paid for that.

I have a tiny personal blog but I’m not a blog expert far from it. From what I understand the word “blog” funny word, was derived from the word log and was designed to be something of a journal to let people know about you and maybe what you were doing. I suspect the idea of a blog has changed and also think it can basically be anything you want to be.
How you want to use, what it looks like, its purpose, etc I think can be anything you want so my suggestion might be let the blog cater to your style of writing. Now if a person wants their blog to be successful, popular or a way to make money, then that is another question?

Hi Bluedoll, I have noticed the unique ttles attached to many of the blogs i've read today. I feel that the title is the most important, first step, as It draws in the readers! I must make it a point to remember that, but how could I forget!
What types of blogs do you write? Mine would more than likely start being about my kids. Humm, I have so many topics that come to mind..I guess I have a lot of plannng to do. I am also not sure if their is much money to be made from blogging. i will look that up and let oyu know soon!

if you are writer then I think you can be a good blogger as well because article writing is tougher than Blogging.
an article has to be precise, good content, around 250 in length, facts - figures, no grammar mistakes and informative. where blog post is more lighter in content, we do not need to be formal, it is much less in words and paragraphs.
if you visit Mylotters profile you can see their blogs and Mylotters who earn from article writing and sharing put links on profile visit them you would come to know the difference.
difference between blogging and article writing in readers perspective:-
blog -
readers do not want long and informative matter that is why we can add images and videos relevant to the content and we can use normal language and do not need to be more formal.
blogs can a personal diary or dedicated to things like sport, favorite celebrity etc that is why it should content focuses on it and it should little entertaining (depend on blog goal, visitors etc).
people skim and scan the matter on the blogs that is why we should try to convey our message in short way.
article writing :-
visitors of articles seek for the information and that is why articles should be rich in content and formal.
usually people do not read long articles except if they have project and hobby of reading and seeking information regarding any particular topic. that is why, as market segment articles should be informative.
I hope this help you and Mylotters.

obviously, I do not mean that blogs posts can have grammatical mistakes because a small mistake in a sentence can make huge difference in message Blogger or sender wants to convey.
I meant article is more serious than blog post that is why article should be grammatically correct. that does not mean blog posts should contain grammar mistakes.
I know reading in Formal articles and blogs are boring and no one likes to read long and too formal blog post and articles, I mean we can use things like .. our experiences and informal language and slang language in a blog post for instance this will rock.. .. wanna, gonna etc and if we consider articles this would not be acceptable because it will affect the seriousness of the topic and people who are seeking for the information would not take it seriously.
sites where we earn by articles checks, our articles before posting or putting on their sites, I guess, they also checks these things.

I am not sure about this but i will still give you my perspective on this. From what i feel, a blog content can be less formal than an article. Most articles are written such that they are cater towards a formal usage. Blog content can be about yourself and daily experiences and any things you want it to be. Another thing is that blog can be on a specific theme or just a mix of many different topics. Articles on the other hand, is a specific topic on itself and usually is to inform people of things
