Just got back from seeing Madagascar 3--anyone else see it?

I really liked it--I found it much more entertaining than the first one, and definitely better than the second one. The story was more interesting and the characters had more depth. The special effects were visually appealing too. We saw it in 2-D, because it's usually not worth the extra money to see the 3-D version, but in this case, I think it might have been worth it to see it in 3-D. Oh well--it was still a great movie in 2-D, both kids and adults seemed to enjoy it.
Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

I have not yet seen this movie. but i have heard alot about it. personally, i don't really like animated cartoons and therefore, i don't think i'll be watching it. However, just a note, i have watched madagascar 1 and that's not bad :)

I hear you, although I have to admit I watched the sappy "girl" Disney movies long before I had kids! But now that I have kids, most of the movies I see are either animated or have action figures in them!

i am great fan of "Madagascar movies" and the first and second i like that so much and by the way you are saying that the third is better than the first and second makes me much more eager to see it...i think i will go for 3D...thanks for the movie update....much appreciated.

You are welcome--if you do see it in 3-D, let us know what you think! I looked up some reviews and it seems many people think this was the best of the three, or at least equally as good.

I went all the way to the movies to watch this movie and found that the tickets were sold out. :( I ended up watch Prometheus and my son was very very angry. :) But I was disappointed personally with Madagascar 2 and if this movie is better than that then I will give it a second try this weekend for my son.

Wow! Our theater was crowded, but not THAT crowded. I definitely would give it a second chance because it is much better than the second one, which I thought was slow moving and kind of boring. How was Prometheus?

That's great... I have been longing to see it soon. and love to see it even a thousand times. afro circus... that just can't get out of my head... i know it will be a blast. the fun and the laughter it will bring us. hope it would be in our cinemas soon...

I am hoping to go this week.
They had the older movie on last night so I watched it gearing up to go see this one LOL
I agree I am not all hyped up on 3-D now our theater has IMAX too so thats 15.00 a ticket.
I think I can do the 2-D like you.

I am usually disappointed by 3-D movies and the prices are crazy, which is why we chose the 2-D version. You will enjoy it in 2-D, I am sure!

yes..i just got back from seeing it 4 hours ago..really entertaining like u said..every minute is fun..love that movie..
i gave 10/10 th estory is very interesting..part 1 and 2 cant beat this one...
i even listed it as movie of the year 2012 together with CHRONICLE...
yes...i agree with u too..the 3D is probably good too..looking at the way they showed the movement of this actions and zooming style cameras...seems like a 3D worthy movie...
i also think PROMETHEUS is a good movie to watchin 3D.........not sure about Piranha 3DD...will see it tomorrow,and will let yal know..

I am glad you liked it as much as I did, and I am actually glad that a series can get "better" as it goes along.
I probably won't get to see Prometheus in the theater, since it is rated R (even though my kids want to see it; I think they are too young).
Let us know how Prometheus and Pirana are in 3-D!

Based on the trailer this movie is really great and enjoy to watch.Good thing that you already seen it and enjoy it that much.Kids are wanting to see this movie after they saw the trailer in TV.For sure kids would really enjoy watching this and me too also.
