So this morning, I smoked my last cigarette, literally, I was down to my last one, and figured now is as good at time as any to quit. I have quit before, the longest I went without was 3 years, then tragedy hit our family, not that that is a good excuse. Anyways, here I go again. I am trying the e cigarette to quit. I have used the patch and nicotine gum before. Hoping to meet some people who are in the process of quitting so maybe we can help/support each other through this.

That is very great dude. Don't let excuses take over you. My dad also drinks when there is a gloom in the environment. But it isn't necessary to always do that. I am 19 and I have never smoked or had a drink. It feels calm without these stuff.
Good luck to you. Hope this time you break your own record and make it 30-40 years.

I think you are on the road to better health with this smart decision. When you quit smoking your body is now able to heal better from the damage caused by smoking. I am sure a doctor can tell you better than me. Quitting smoking is so beneficial and healthy that there are commercials trying to scare one into doing so. If you are able to permanently stop smoking, it is going to give you a healthy outlook to do other things. You may also deal with stress better and protect yourself from second hand smoke. Keep up the good work.
