What will be your reaction when we find out the whole family members are now treating you as a stranger to the family and hide issues of the family from you. When a discussion is going on, and you step into the room, all changes the topic of discussion and countenance. They hide secrets from you and no longer reveal things to you. I will ex-communicate them or attack them?

I would ask them what´s the matter to give them the opportunity to say what´s the matter. If nothing happens, I´d move on and forget about them. That´s not what I would call a real family. Blood ties are not enough.

What if it persist on other issues. You only regarded as a member because of the name and nothing informing or beneficial about the family comes to you in terms of information. What will be subsequent action?

I would stop feeling that they are my family. Of course all that can be different in different cultures, but I have experienced that with part of my family and I don`t get near them anymore.

We put up with a lot of things in our families to try to keep from upsetting everyone, but if things like this was happening, I'd be hurt and probably stay away from them. I'd get very busy doing things so I'd have an excuse to not be around. Sooner or later, though, I'd get angry enough to confront one or more of them and find out why they were doing it.
