The battery is so weak with my android phone

I recently bought this Android phone from Amazon.com, and I like it a lot with all these functionality and features come with it. It is my first luxury phone I ever own if I have to say it. The only problem I am not satisfied with it is the battery life is so weak. After I charge it full at home, or at my car, it quickly drained the battery life down, if I have do web browsing, or GPS navigation. Sometimes, less than half day the battery is down to the bottom. Is it the same to your smart phones or Iphone? I bet you Iphone has longer life than it.

It could be that you have Tasks or processes running in the background which is draining your battery. Check your App store for a free task manager.

Android phones should have a task manager with it already.

Dear Like other people said , i think it may be the tasks running in the background.i recommend turning down the brightness to reduce battery. And only turn on wifi when you are using it. Apps like gps can easily drain battery.

My husband ordered a longer life battery for his phone in fall and he's having trouble with it holding a charge more than 2hours. Sadly he's out right now trying to get a new phone though I'd rather him get a new battery then spend all that money.

Most android phones have weak batteries. This is simply because of the internet use. You might have activated automatic update of your emails or 3G is activated. Using 3 G is definetly consuming lots of power. When not in use of internet connection you better off switching off the internet connection not the phone. By doing this your phone battery will last longer.

smartphones really drain battery so fast. It's just common to all smartphones because of the apps and processors. it is really hard to find any smartphones in the market that could suffice you. However, ss galaxy s3 and lg 4xhd have the best battery performance now.

android phones usually have weak batteies specially if you are using internet on it. but they can last long if you won't be using a 3g mode.

There aren't many of these highly featured smartphones that would be known for having good battery life..Most of them,if you can get through a day without needing a recharge, you're doing ok..I was looking at aftermarket iphone battery extender packs in the gadget section when out shopping yesterday evening, which wouldn't give me much confidence for their range.. the more features you use,the more the battery will drain. If you're not using a feature, turn it off,or use a device management app to control it or notify you of the battery hogs..Using Wifi and GPS would be high drain activities..

hi friend. I´ve had this problem since I bought the phone. I´ve noticed that it run out very fast, i didnt know this problem when I made the bought. I go with the charger wherever I go, cause I dont really know when it could be off. some people with more experience than me told that I had to turn off some apps, like gps or hings like this to be longer the lifetime- battery. have a nice day.

Not necessarily. The boon of any android phone or even the iPhone is if you constantly use it to connect to the Internet, or especially when you use it as a GPS, its battery is quickly drained. I used to do a lot of mobile Internet, especially when I'm myLotting. My phone's data usage is always switched on, so I automatically get updates from facebook, or from my email, which I have to admit I need most of the time. And I spend a lot of time updating on Foursquare which also uses GPS. Before the day is over, my battery's drained. I usually have to have my charger with me so that if I get caught somewhere, and I can't get home at once, at least I could charge my phone for a while before setting off again. But since I have Internet at home, and the only email I set up on my phone are my work emails, I figured I better give my phone's battery a rest. I don't need to be notified of any social networking activities while I'm at work, and being updated with work email on your phone when you can check it in the office is kind of useless. So I stopped using my mobile data plan (which also saved me money). Now, my battery which usually lasts about half a day now lasts for as long as two days, three days when I hardly use it.

You said it, Kingparker. The short-lifetime battery is the biggest problem of Android phone. I have heard about it since i used my Nokia 5220. Yet as you said, android phone has so many function and plug-ins that it is irresistible. A couple weeks ago, i got myself a demostic smart cellphone. And it gets the same problem as yours. Anyway, there is little we can do to improve that. As far as I am concerned, Iphone is rather cheap in U.S. Why don't you buy one? If i lived there, the first thing i would do is to purchase an Iphone.LOL.

Although Android is inferrer to the iPhone, I do have to say that all smart phones, even though they say the battery life is very long, always need to be charged. That is just the way they are. I know if I use my iPhone a lot all day I need to charge it up at night. Most of the apps use lots of battery power, especially GPS and of course Bluetooth.

Lasting of battery charge depends a bit on processor you use. The more heavey the processor, the more draining down of battery charge. Thanks

I used to have the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S 1. When I upgraded the Android version, battery life-span almost doubled.

There are applications that claim to save battery usage, managing your applications for you. Updating your unit to it's latest firmware also could help, as most updates offer better battery-saving feature. Try to check for online help as well for your unit specifically. It may be a common issue and solutions may have been posted by users or techs from the company.

Well android phone or iphone really run out of battery so fast due to applications that we install and used all the time. Some notifications from some application maybe could be factor too. These phones showcase nice features that could contribute on consuming battery fast.
