heart pain....

Last night, for the first time, I experienced some sort of pain somewhere where my heart is. It is a kind of pain that feels like a needle that is being stabbed or pierced inside my heart. I became alarmed because I was thinking of heart attack. The pain would disappear for a few seconds and come back again. I did not know what to do, so I ate an apple hoping it would help, drank a tablet of vitamin C and water. I did not recline but just sat there the whole evening for fear of an attack. Have you experienced the same thing? What could this be?

Sometimes I experienced shortness of breath and chest pain especially when I am under pressured, tired and stressful. I think you should seek for medical advice to run some test to make sure that your heart is fine and to ease your worries.

well i sometimes have that feeling but it is not a heart attack, you just need to breath deeply ignoring the pain, if you inhale deeply that pain will go away

People could be experiencing the same thing or signs for many different reasons. I know and have had the same "attack" myself but it was rather not alarming to me anymore as much as it used to be... i just had to see a doctor and it was confirmed to be a heart disease but not fatal - It is called MVP - Mitral Valve Prolapse... it can be dangerous when bacteria or virus travels to the heart... but it is pretty much normal case where 1 out of 5 has. My suggestion is if this happens to you again, you probably should go ahead and see a doctor.

THis may have been caused by acidity in the system. How old are you and are you past the age of menopause?Do you have hypertension or are you diabetic? Take a course of antacid after consulting a doctor. I am sure it would be nothing alarming.

How old are you? Did you ever take a medical check up? We must pay attention to any pain in chest area. Sometimes I do suffer the same experience, and my doctor told me it has something to do with my acid reflux. I hope you'll do just fine.

If you are having any heartache of a break up, then you should see your doctor. My sister experienced unexplained heart pain and ignored it. Unknowingly and without suspecting of any heart attack since she haven't been diagnosed with heart problem- she keep ignoring those occasional pain. Until one day she felt extreme pain and was rushed to the hospital. Till then we find out she has mild heart attack beyond her/our knowledge. Sometimes we should not ignore unusual pain or feelings that we felt.
