Ok, so this one is not really about making money directly, but making money through getting rid of debt. How do you get rid of your debts? Can you share any simple tips that may prove useful to everyone here on mylot?
I follow make a budget and I follow that budget strictly. That is how I earn money to pay off my debt from my friends.

Getting out of debt is not easy, but if you follow these steps, you should see progress.
First, stop borrowing money. Stop going deeper into debt. Unless it's a true emergency, you can find ways to get by without borrowing.
Second, find ways to save more money. This is an ongoing quest, so no matter how frugal you think you are, there is always another way to save money. You cannot better your situation until the outgo is controlled.
Third, find ways to make extra money and pay any extra money immediately to what you owe. Don't keep it because you might spend it elsewhere. Make extra money by working a second job, selling what you don't really need or whatever you can think of (legally!).
Fourth, stick to it. Make getting out of debt your passion. Make it your most serious goal. Think about it, work toward it. Put up notes reminding yourself.
Fifth, and probably the most important, is to believe that you can. It doesn't matter how much money you make or how much you owe, if you believe that you can pay it off, your mind goes to work for you.

I once was buried in debt. That was because I maintained 3 credit cards. How I came out of this situation. First, I had only one card. Because of my children's school, my credit card helped me a lot. Then came the time that my debt was full meaning I almost exceeded my credit limit. So I stopped using my credit card however I paid monthly. When I went to the branch office of my credit card's bank, the personnel there issued another card for me to pay off my existing card. So I maintained 2 cards. That was going on for about 2 years then. I was so broke at that time. Then came my third card. I applied for it and cancelled my 2nd card then my old card. Now, I already maintained 1 credit card. I still have debts but it's easier this time. I'm planning to cancel this last card but I still have an outstanding account so I have to wait until this is fully paid. I already have a debit card so that I can get rid of credit cards completely and I hope it will be soon.

The biggest issue I see with debt is credit card debt. I follow a simple rule of paying all our credit cards off each month, so we don't have revolving debt and accruing extra expenses from the interest on my balances.

I, too, is asking the same question, on me. I have plenty of debts, and they are pulling me down. And I am thinking of possible solutions to get rid of them. One of them is, by paying them off one by one, bit by bit. And as I do it, it is important also to increase my income through various ways. It is futile to get rid of debt if your income is not sufficient to your needs.
