I was walking going to the school to fetch my kids. While walking i see 25 cents on the street. This is not the first time i see 25 cents on the street. I picked it up and put it in a bottle for saving. I almost have 3 bottles of 25 cents at home , planning to give it to charity organization. I was wondering why these people are throwing 25 cents ? Especially those beggars asking for money , and if you give 25 cents only , they will not accept it? Hence they will throw? Did they know that a hundred peso bill cannot be a hundred peso bill without a 25 cents? A hundred dollar could not be a hundred dollar without a quarter? How about in your place? Do you happen to see a quarter or a centavo in the street? What are you going to do?

I never found them like this.In our country beggars will not demand the money they will take anything if we give even some food stuff.Any way in our country beggars are in large in number also more competition between them.In my view we must not encourage beggars by offering this type of money.

yes you are right, instead of giving money, give them something to eat because that's what they need.

Many beggars in here don't get food, they prefer money only...

I used to pick 25 cents in the streets everytime I see some cause it is still money and sometimes so useful in paying bills that has cents in amounts. Some people tend to leave it whenever it fall instead of picking it up caus it is just cents.

I also pick up 25 cents and even the smallest coins whenever I see them around. The Central Bank here even have campaigns to not ignore the 25 cents because they said we have scarcity of it right now.

If i were in your shoes, i would do the same. I will collect it and send it to a charity organization later. I really don't understand many people just throw away small coins, is it not money? No, it is still money and just a small amount only.

I know it, ! haha you're a filipino.. I can't imagine how will other races respond to this question, when 25c was not that really really small as compared with us. Well, I am really glad that there is still a person like you who does that great thing. For me, I will not really give importance to that 25c haha,. HONESTLY!! Never Mind!! LOL .. However, I changed because of TV Patrol's campaign who accepts 25c to make Php 25million for 25 underprivileged people. Have fun!

There are times where I see money on the sidewalk all of the time or in the grocery store parking lot. The way things are, you think that people would be a bit more careful with not to be dropping change randomly right in the parking lot. But I guess they are just going to really be not that careful. Therefore the money is right on the parking lot or sidewalk. I have found at most a dollar bill or two. I think I would rather faint if I found any big amount of money right on the parking lot. Then again, I think that the bigger the money, the more people are really going to be careful about what they drop down there. Still people drop money right on the ground, as you see it all of the time. Granted, I'm sure many have the same idea that I do and look on the ground for dropped money.

Well, I live in Italy, so my currency is the Euro. Only once I happened to find on the ground a € 5 banknote, in very rare occasions I would say, my "luck" was to find land for coins of 1, 2 or up to 5 cents. I put everything together in the portfolio, they could always pick me up when maybe useful such a thing would cost € 1.02. Certainly give these pennies to beggars, in my opinion is almost disrespectful! At least these poor people deserve 50 cents, what do you think?

We still need a 25 cent as we can use it for change.

I find coins on the street all the time, but I never really pick them up. I should do, but I don't feel it's worth it. I prefer to find notes lying in the street ;)
