what it really means that you don't have a life outside.Sad, but true, the Internet is your
social life because this is how your
keep in touch with my friends if u have any?
and family. But It's not all bad.
Some of my family live three
thousand miles away! The
other part of my life is going to
work, so I am not a complete
recluse.

Well i advice you to spend time watching tv especially your favourite sports channel or favourite sport, go for shopping, watch movies or else indulge in some creative activities at home that would divert your mind away from spending a lot of time over the internet.

Hi immigrant_swallow, I'm great fan of internet as well. I would feel bored and monotonous if my home internet service doesn't work. Other than making report to the ISP I will keep on hasten them to get my internet to restore as fast as possible. I will visit the nearby outlet where free wifi is available to get on net. Of course I have to spend at least a cup or glass of drink I then could enjoy such facility there.
Certainly it's always more comfortable to get on line at home. Anyway I have to do my online routine during weekdays to make some penny I understand that too indulge in surfing net is not good of our health as well as having less time to get along with our loved ones and good friends. Nowadays I know how to allocate my spare time doing different activities. I'm no longer to spend majority of my leisure getting on line.
when I was a newbie of internet I surfed net randomly and wasted lots of my precious time as well. Nowadays I just visit sites which I can learn new info and knowledge which benefit me only. Lol...myLot certainly is one among those favorite sites. Besides I will never let go my favorite sites which I enjoy listening to music and watching Korean movies lol....
Happy posting

Well maybe since yor on the internet already you should make a habit of making money doing it. Now if you could resoond to 30 discussions or more here a day you can make 60 cents a day here.
Now if you could get off the itnernet and start writing articles and submit them through the itnernet theny ou can make money doing so.
There are other ways as well to make money on ther internet so you should think about surfing the wen for those kind of things instead of not making a goal out of it. Hope i was able to help you out.
Im usually ont he computer all day at work and i do try to get away from it from time to time and maybe do some cleaning or do some paperwork but most of the time im on the internet. Have a great day.

You might decide on some goals for your life. If you haven't goals, you haven't anything to work towards and so you will keep looking for diversion by surfing the internet unlimitedly.
So if you'd like to do something other than spend all day on the internet, you should first know what it is you would like to accomplish with your life.
If you can't think of anything, go ahead and stay on the internet. It's not all bad. But you do seem to feel like you're not accomplishing anything.

"Internet addiction" is a very subjective term and different individuals might define it differently. But if you ask me, my definition of "internet addiction" is someone who uses the internet in such a way that other daily routine activities are neglected in preference of internet surfing. Hence, if you're still attending to your daily routines as per normal but just using the internet a lot, I wouldn't classify you as suffering from internet addiction. On the other hand, if you feel you spend too much time on the internet, I reckon the only way to save yourself is to tell yourself to cut down on the time spent on the internet. I could suggest millions of ways for you, but if your mind is not motivated to do anything, it will be useless too as those suggestions will not be put to action anyway. If you're motivated enough to cut down on your time spent on the internet, I'm happy to give suggestions.
