Cats are asleep for two-thirds of the day, every day. Can you imagine sleeping that much? Or wouldn't it be a problem for you? Where’s your kitty’s favorite napping spot? Mine has been sleeping alot on the back porch, the closest she has to being outdoors. The weather is so warm half the time this month so she likes it on the porch, til she decides to come back in the house.

When I am really depressed I can sleep for 12 hours easily. Our three cats get on my daughter's bed and crook their heads clear around and sprawl on the bed together. They all look so werid then they lay like that. Just this morning they were all in there. They like the sun poring in but we soon closed it all up for the warm day ahead. Its 78 right now.

I wish I could sleep that long here, i would definetly give it a go. There is just to much commotion and noise for it to happen. I wish I had a small apt to retreat to anytime I wanted, then i would go there and sleep for hours when I really felt like it. Oh just thinking about it makes me feel good. That is cool that the cats all sleep together like that, they do love to sprawl out on the bed and it's comfy for them, no wonder. It was quite warm here as well, during the day but now not as much. It should be a good night for sleeping. I might even keep a window open a slight bit.

I have thought and wished the same thing. Wishing I had a friend's place where I could go stay for a couple of days now and then. I usually open my window late at night/early morning for some cool air to come in for awhile. It is nice.

Regarding the sleeping for so many hours in a day, I did that when I was younger. I rather sleep than eat and that time I was so skinny. But I can't sleep anymore like that now since my head hurts a lot and I don't like the feeling its like instead of being energized I feel sick. We had a cat before and she would always sleep in our patio seat. She lounges day till mid day then she'll come back inside the house before it gets dark.

I have heard where people can get headaches from sleeping too much, my brother is like that or so he claims. I just think my headaches are from not enough sleep. I woke up at 2:30 this a.m. with a headache and it went away and now I have a slight ear ache on and off today which I hope goes away. Cats do like their lounging, they are just created that way. I'm glad she stayed around close to your home at least and then came back indoors at night.

I WISH I could sleep that much. You know how much you would dream from that? Would be crazy fun! If you never tried lucid dreaming check it out.

Yea, me too. I think I could do it. I would be dreaming about so many things uninterupted. I wonder what my cat dreams about, probably eating or chasing a dog, LOL. I'm not sure what lucid dreaming is, can you enlighten me on it?
