Well, psychologist say that talking to yourself is healthy and is one way to improve your relationship with yourself. Is it true? Anyway, i try to talk to myself and i think when you think about it, it actually helps since it makes you more happy. How about you, did you ever try talking to yourself in private or in public? Share your experiences. I gotta admit it's kind of embarrassing and weird. He he he.

Hello halfbloodace
I never talk to myself.
YES YOU DO!
No, that's not true, I have never engaged in that sort of behavior.
YOU'RE CRAZY! YOU TALK TO ME EVERY DAY. YOU TALK LIKE A 911 OPERATOR.
I don't like when you yell at me like that! I'm trying to have a conversation with halfbloodacre, so I need for you to pipe down. Geeze. I can't even hear myself think over your blabbering!
MY BLABBERING? HAVE YOU EVER HEARD YOURSELF? I SUGGEST YOU SHUT YOUR PIEHOLE AND LET ME TALK. AFTER ALL, I'M THE CHARMER.
I tend to live a rather boring existence, halfbloodace, just going through life as silently and unobtrusively as possible. But I don't hold it agaist anyone who may engage in this sort of harmless activity.
YEAH, RIGHT!!

Well, I experienced talking to myself but just for a short instance. Like for example, if I can't think of anything to be done with a certain task, I will say loudly, what will I do. Sometimes in front of a mirror I will scold myself because of something wrong that I have done. It may look weird.

I'm glad it's considered healthy because I have conversations with myself all the time! Most of them are in my head but sometimes I talk out loud too and stop when I realize what I'm doing. But it does help sometimes to clear things out and for self-reassurance. I don't think I've ever done it in public but one of my friends does it in front of me all the time! It gets kind of annoying sometimes.

I'm always talking to myself inmy head but not much out side of it. I do sometimes respond like " What!?" "Why!?" etc. when I find something on TV or whatever. Sometimes I remembersomthing funny and I"m laughing out loud to myself. But other than that i don't think I've ever really had a full conversation with myself out loud.

In my mind I'm having a conversation with myself and not physically. I think it would look crazy if I talk to myself physically. I don't know if talking to one's self is healthy. This sounds crazy but i think talking to yourself can kill boredom. hehe :))

I totally agree that talking to one's self is very helpful especially when you are burdened with problems. Some says its kinda weird because it is really weird especially if you're not used to it. But for me i only find it weird when people talk to themselves in public. I have talked to myself many times before especially when I am down and i needed to think and decide for myself without the voices of other people telling me what to do. I find this exercise therapeutic and really helped me listen to what's inside of me and to finally decide on what i really want.

Hi halfbloodace, yes I talk to myself because i am usually the only one that listens lol... But seriously, talking to oneself is a healthy thing to do, if done properly... i mean you wouldnt go around having a full on conversation with yourself in the main street or in a shopping center.
Often times I will tell myself off aloud for doing something stupid, or say well done if something has turned out right... which has not been alot lately...
Despite what others feel and think of you as being crazy, talking to yourself does help you feel a certain inner calm.. well thats my thoughts anyway

i'Ve been doin that kind of crazy thing regularly. It really helps because for me talking to your own self reflects your desire to consult your inner voice/conscience. But that case might be different in some manners. Haha, anyway whenever i talk to myself, he always want me to do the right thing. And the regular thing that i'm doin concerning such, is that when i want to achieve any goals, it is really healthy to talk to your own self :) Its kinda motivation and pushing good things against bad things (a debate in mind). Actually many people do this stuff, they'r not just aware of it. :)
