If you really want to lose weight,You should stop eating sweets and pastries.they might taste great but they're bad for the health and the major reason why you gain weight.I used to be fat back then but I realized that bad eating habits,no matter how you justify,will be always bad.I'm not saying that you shouldn't really eat sugars,Just eat sweets like once or twice a week that's okay.By simply cutting sugars from your eating habits, you will surely lose weight.

You are right, you should not deprive your self from sweets. the more you deprive yourself, the more you will crave on it and the more chances of getting extra pounds. Sugar is not bad if taken in moderation. Excess sugar means excess calories, which if not burned, will turn into fats.
Don't cut the sugar intake instead, limit only your self.

Gee.. I love sweets like ice cream, cakes and chocolates. How can I ever lose weight? That is that problem I'm battling with myself after I gave birth to my child and it's been a year.

You can eat everything in moderation and, actually, fruit has a very high level of sugar so by your logic this means that you should ever eat fruit or anything like that. I am losing weight at the moment, and I just started counting calories. This meant that I was able to eat anything I liked as long as it fell under my limits. I have lost a lot of weight over the past year and a half, and I have never stopped myself from eating sugar and things like that. If you eat less than you burn by doing exercise, then you're going to lose weight and it is as simple as that.

I agree with you but sweets and pastries not only make us gain weight but it will also cause diabetes which may also result in weight loss. Losing weight when we are already diabetic is not healthy. Sweets and pastries are really tempting. That is why I still haven't lose extra pounds because I could not simply ignore these food.

This is so true .. Sugar is a big problem if you want to lose weight. and not only she but also sweet (which is sugar) , salt bread and much more!

EXACTLY!!!!!!! I haven't eaten sugar in 10 years and these past ten years have been PHENOMENAL! I look great, feel great and wouldn't change my diet in a second. I don't care about sweets AT ALL - I crave salmon, not candy! It's definitely 80% diet, 10% exercise & 10% genetics!
When you cut sweets out you tend to crave them less and then when you do indulge you don't feel good, so you almost WANT TO eat healthfully! :)
