Do you agree that you can have fun and enjoy yourself on little or no money. Some of the best times with my kids were spent with a bottle of fruit squash and a picnic by the river. We did go to the zoo, movies and out for meals for treats. But pack a picnic and go over the park with a ball and the day could be spent having fun.I took my grandchildren to the river and we were ages looking at the boats, watching the ducks, looking at the weeping willow tree with the sun shining through. We took a camera and snapped away for hours taking memory shots. So when people say they cannot go out because they are broke pass a few ideas on.It improves your well being and certainly makes you feel like you have done something nice.

Yesterday I took my kids and dogs out for a long walk. It was a sunny day. At the end of the lane we turned left and walked along a pleasant pathway. We were able to see a swan, some ducks and a moorhen on the lake. We went past another picturesque looking lake. We came back via the train station and my disabled son enjoyed doing some train spotting. I love to walk along the coastline and look at the fine ocean views. There is a lovely looking headland and two little islands off the coast. I like to walk along the modern pier and seeing the old pier from the shoreline I find interesting. My kids like to sit on the sandy beach then play with their buckets and spades. I think that on a sunny day these things which are free are well worth doing. Today I did some gardening and it improved my well being by relaxing me.

U are sooooo right. The best things in life are free. So many people think they have to spend big bucks for a good time but i think they are very wrong.

I completely agree with you! Some of my best times have been doing things that only cost the gas to get there. My husband and I accompanied another couple on a trip to Niagara Falls when we had first started dating, I was a single mother and he didn't even have a job yet. So while our friends were off spending money in the casinos, we were enjoying our surroundings by walking and hiking. We had a wonderful day and really enjoyed each others company as well. That is one of my best memories with my husband and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Now we always take our kids to the Metro Parks and enjoy wonderful times by packing a picnic, swimming and hiking. It promotes real quality time spent with all of us together and I love it!
