When you are sick, do you rest yourself or do you still keep up with your daily tasks? If I am ill or sick, I have to lay down and rest the whole day. But I know a few people who will still be out and about even if they're sick! I don't understand how they have the energy to do this. Do they have no choice or what? Are they not worried they may get worse? How do you approach your sick days?

When I was working I used to go to work when I was sick. First off I did not want to waste any days until I really needed them. Second off, I did not want to lose my job. I used to go to work with like a hundred and three temperature. I made it through. The only time I stayed home is if I just could not move.

I have to work - but I'm careful to make sure I do my best to keep my client from getting sick - so far - I've never gotten her sick, but she got me sick once...
If its the weekend, I try to cut back on what I have to do if I can.
However, if I have a headache - all bets are off - I'll do my best to take meds and sleep!

depends on the disease. If I have a cold I just go about my business. My kids won't feed themselves, my bills won't pay themselves, and frankly if I stay home and wallow it it I feel worse than if I distract myself with the things I need to be doing. If I have a migraine, I just do the essentials and call it good. As long as the kids are fed and safe I am going to call it a day and go vomit and writhe until I can see straight again

Honestly, most of the time, if I am not too sick, or I can still hold myself up, I would still do my best to get to work. If I can't really hold myself together, I rather send an email, or call my supervisor that I can't come in today. I just need a day of rest. Anyway, I have 6 days of sick days, why not use them.

When I get sick, I take some over the counter meds and try to continue with my day. If its too bad, then I see the doctor and he tells me the same thing every time. Eat chicken soup, drink plenty of liquids, take the medicine to its full period, get plenty of rest.
Now, some individuals refuse to rest when they are taken ill simply because they are stubborn. Others don't have a choice because of prior obligations like having to work or needing to take care of children. When you need to get something done really badly, you don't think about how sick you are and just about how much you need to get through this illness. Some are worried, others aren't. It depends on the person.
