Well, my son and I went to check out the new LOTR Legos which came out this month, and we were underwhelmed to say the least. He doesn't even want to get any for his birthday, and he LOVES Legos and LOTR! Very disappointing, at least the sets we saw. Too childish, in my opinion (and his). The Harry Potter and Avenger sets, to name a few, seem to have been designed better--more "realistic" and closer to the movie images.
Has anyone else seen them or bought them yet? What do you think? is it just too difficult a subject matter or could Legos have done better? Or maybe you love them?
Maybe our expectations were just too high!

Do you really think the Legos do justice to the books and the movies?

I have seen both Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, and I think both are great. I love Lord of the Rings more, however, because it managed to create such wonderful, different worlds and characters. For instance, when the characters first got to Rivendell, it just seemed amazing. The building, the yard, everything... And the characters are so strong, they are such a good example for life. Sorry, but it is one of my favourite movies ever... :)

Ummm. . .not talking about the movies themselves, my discussion is referring to the newly released LEGOS minifigures. . . what do you think of them?

I like it when they put Movie games into lego form. They are funnier and it has a better gameplay. My favorite lego movie game would be starwars the complete saga. I haven't play harry potter lego game yet.
Lord of the ring Lego is a good idea just like any past movie made into lego game. There is a lot of action going on in this game so its suits just as well.

Are you talking about an actual Lego game or a virtual Lego game? Either way, I don't think they have made Lego LOTR games yet; the actual LOTR Lego sets (the kind you build with your own hands) have just come out. Too soon for games I think.
