ive been trying to learn a new language for a while but only got the basics in german and french, it seems like ive hit a wall and are getting any better, i need some new way to proceed in my learning

Maybe you should try children's books, fairy tales and such in those languages. They are pretty simple to read and will get to the next level probably. Or if you have already reached that level, maybe you should try their school books, starting from the lower grades, like 1 and 2.
