Stole the Ash Trays

Two nights ago I stayed over at my friend's house. We slept into the afternoon as usual, and got up. After a few hours we decided to go sit outside, for some fresh air. When we got out there, the ash trays weren't on the table. We weren't too worried about it at first, because we assumed that her mom took them to wash them. So we forgot about it, until awhile later when her mom came outside, and asked us where we put the ash trays. So after a little investigation, we found out that everyone in the culdesac had their outside ashtrays taken. I was like WTF? One person said they believed it was this anti-smoking group that's been starting up here. That doesn't make sense to me. I mean okay, so you took the ash trays and tin butt cans, that's not going to stop anyone from smoking. Someone else said it could have been bums, because she's seen them take cigarette butts from ash trays around town. I hadn't heard of this before and was grossed out. I mean seriously smoking after a bunch of people you don't know? I am having a total wtf moment thinking about this again now.

hi,
You are absolutely right. Merely removing of ash treys will not stop smoking habit. It is very very true that the smking is injurious to the health but this is not the only way left out to prohibit someone from smoking. But the intention behind stealing the ashtreys was good enough.
