Hello,
I'll be throwing a surprise bbq birthday party for a dear friend and invited a couple of his friends who happen to be vegans.
I have absolutely no experience when it comes to vegan food and, sadly, I don't even know what the difference is between al the different denominations of vegetarians/vegans. The party is this weekend and I would like to know which vegan burgers to purchase (which ones are the tastiest :P), what else I can serve in case they don't eat any of the other food I prepared and any other tips on serving vegans at a party.
Thanks so much!!

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think vegetarians just don't eat meat but they do eat eggs and consume diary while vegans are stricter and will not even eat the eggs or dairy. Check and see if your store has a special vegetarian/vegan section. The Kroger that i go to sometimes has one. .

You can make vegan burgers using banaba blossoms (banana heart) the taste is good and healthier, I am sure his friends will love it.

I really do not know what the difference between vegan and vegetarian is. But I am a pure vegetarian, I think the best burgers have potato patties, tomato slices, onions, lettuce and white mayo. And of course cheese. Vegan could also include soya patties. But this is my definition of the best veg burger. I do not know if this suggestion will help you.
As for serving food aside from burgers that vegetarian people can eat, it could be anything not having meat, eggs or such. Like fries, wild rice, salad, starters with cheese, potatoes, etc. You could stir-fry some fresh vegetables or bake some vegetarian pies [small sizes].
