My boyfriend has all types of sports cards and is trying to figure out how much they are worth, but he is not getting a definite answer. Have you ever sold your sports cards? If so, what was your experience and how did you go about selling them? How much were they worth?

Not me but I have a friend that opened a card shop. He says that there are cards worth thousands of dollars if they are properly kept. You can go on places like ebay and see what they are going for. I bet there are some actual collectors' sites too.

I have sold hockey cards on ebay before. You can check prices there as they go on auction. I haven't done ebay in years but I think you might need to sign in to get the prices of cards that have been sold. What I did was buy rookie cards of certain stars during the summer (out of season), which I flipped in the winter (during season).

my advice would be to check out ebay but also check out your local library to see if they have any books on sports cards and their worth.

I have never sold any sports cards althouhg we have several that were my mother in laws that I honestly would not mind selling. My husband wants to keep them though because they were hers and I can certainly understand that. I know at one point she did sell some at a garage sale but they were not ones that were worth any money. If I were going to sell the I would probably go on Ebay and check and see what other people are selling them for, then if I like the price I would maybe list them or take them to someone who deals in sports memorobillia to sell.

My ex boyfriend used to have all types of sports cards, even pokemon cards since he was a kid, I don't know LOL. They're pretty rare, my ex used to talk about the holographic cards, I'm not sure if it they have relevance to sports cards, but it's worth a shot :)

I have sold basketball cards in the past. It has been so olng ago I don't rmember how much they were worth! Today I have no idea how much they are worth! I found some baseball and basketball cards when I cleaned out my aittic last summer. I tried to find the place wwere I sold the last batch of cards I had! I was not able to! I am still looking for a place to sell them! The place I sold them also bought and sold other collectables like coins. Look around for a collector store that sells and buys sports cards and others things like coins.
