there are so plastic containers in our drawer. but my mom would always try to arrange the plastic containers. she would get angry why the containers are annoying to see , but she doesn't want to throw anything as they are useful. but we can't use them all. but it is like a burden having all of them as they are taking too much space on the drawer or cabinet and it makes her so angry seeing those too many plastic container. she is always angry that she has to arrange them daily . as when one used a plastic container or get one on the cabinet that the container would be out of place again. so it has become a daily task having them arrange. and also the plastic bag that adds up each time we buy something. it really looks like a garbage having a pile of those plastic bags. if i have the choice i would throw them all away. or half of them at least

Hello hotsummer
I do not like the accumulation of all the many plastic tupperware-type containers in the home. I DO have the choice and I Do throw them out. Actually, I don't let them accumulate to begin with.
The only plastic tupperware-type set of containers that I have are the ones I bought from Uncle Rico and Kip because I wanted the free ship model that came with it. Even after Kip showed that the plastic wasn't strong enough to withstand being run over by a van, I still bought it, because I don't think I have to worry about a van running over my plastic containers.

yes i don't need to the durable ones also. but i do have some that are safe to use for storing foods and water for more than one use.

I have a lack of tupperware right now myself. I plan to buy some tupperware to store things in, but I've got to do a thorough cleaning of the entire kitchen to make sure all is organized and in the way I want and need it to be since I am the primary cook of the house now.
As for plastic bags, we have started to throw some away but in the USA you can take excess and put it in a bin at a store and have them recycle it, that way it doesn't go to waste.

there are other plastic containers that are not actually tupperware. those are the ones that came as free item when you buy something on the groceries. so there are more plastic containers. they can be useful. but it is annoying as they come in different shapes and colors. so there is no harmony in color and the different shapes makes it harder to arrange them in one cabinet.
unlike the one i saw that comes in set. the smaller plastic can be put inside the bigger one and so forth. so if they are 5 plastic containers in one set, they can be tucked into one place because you can put them inside the bigger plastic container that comes with the set.

Tupperware is a very good and expensive brand of plastic wares. In fact there are nice ones and i want to buy but very expensive. If it is just and ordinary plastic container you have collected from buying take out foods from restaurants i think it can be thrown away or maybe given away but the real tupperware is worth collecting. I suggest that you give some to your relatives or friends, i am sure they will be happy. Regarding plastic bags, well you can throw it away, just keep the nice ones for future use. I have lots of it too but i sort them up every month and throw the smaller ones.

It seems like your mother has a hoarding problem. You have to warn her against taking in so many of these stuff or she might end up in a reality TV show about hoarders.

My mom's house is the same way. She has so much Tupperware it's crazy! However, they do come in handy when we make big meals and need to store a bunch of it. Plus, she has so many varieties of containers that she has one for every occasion! She even has pizza shaped ones for leftover pizza! How clever is that?!

I never dump these tupperwares in my kitchen as usually these bowls do have a shelf life and should not be used for a long time. I usually use them according to how long they are prescribed and then I dispose them.

My mom do collect plastic bottles also, she said she may use it later and right now she have a big bag of it. I don't mind about it at all because she lives alone now then she can collect anything that she wants.
I just keep some plastic bottles only...and the others, i put it in the corner for selling later. it is a good way to get extra money also...
