Trapped between sleeping and working

Because I had to meet three classes from 8 AM to 12:30 PM -straight- I was so tired I could hardly finish my lunch. After lunch earlier, I thought I would sleep for a while to recharge. Yes, I thought of taking a nap earlier. But since I can't get myself to sleep, I decided to work on my lectures. Now that I am supposed to be busy working on my lectures, I feel sleepy.
And because I would not like to choose between the two, I logged into myLot instead. Hhhmmm... was that a better idea?
Oh! I am sure you have been in this situation several times before! So what did you do?

Really if we are exhausted with a lot of pressure or stress then we really tend to be sleepy, especially to you that you are so tired. It actually happens to me also, all you have to do is to fight for it because I am in the office and that it is so shameful that people will see that you are taking a nap during office hours...

hi dear dolce_vita normally I am also one of these who drag themselves through the workday no matter what. But there have been some days when I really clocked out early cause I was unable to function well and thought that doesnt make sense, I had better get home and get better first.

I have been in the same situation so many times, often at night. I feel like I'm not tired enough for bed, but also not awake enough to be productive, so I end up wasting time online into the wee hours of the night. Then, I tend to get a second wind when I go online, and it makes it even harder to go to bed :)
Sometimes if it's around 10 PM and I'm starting to feel tired, I force myself to stay OFF the internet, because I know if I go online I'll get a burst of energy. Instead I try to relax or do a quick chore and then go to bed.
