Which processor is better i5 3rd gen / 2nd gen / 1st gen

besides looking for the processor, consider other peripherals to maximize your computing prowess, consider the size of the RAM and hard disk space as well. in theory 2nd gen processor should be superior because it should have fixed or augmented flaws that are available on the first set upon release of such processor, but sometimes branding or renaming 2nd or succeeding batch of processors are only of marketing strategy as new gadgets sales fastest in reality.

Definitely i5 3rd gen as the clock speed is better than the previous generations

i3 is more than adequate enough for most people, I5 is more than enough for even the graphic heavy video games & rendering software, the I7 is not worth your money. Even the high end video games do not require that kind of processing speed. So unless you are going to keep your computer 5+ years, go with the I3 - for the average web surfing user - or the I5 if you play graphics heavy games or do video rendering.

Hey I wouldn't call my self a genius when it comes to processor I just know the technology that is coming out now and days has a large improvement compare to the pass.. The iProcess are very nice either way you are getting the latest and fastest processors there is now of you want the best, I think the the new one that just came out is called. Ivy bridge if I'm not mistake.. I will do some more research.. .. Very fast processor with great boost speeds. :)

I5 3rd generation is the best since it is the latest processor in the i5 category.Of course,now i7 is available in the market and if you can increase your budget you can purchase that.It is the latest technology available in processors.Or else people are even buying i5.But buying the 3rd generation is the best option.I3 is outdated now.
