My husband and I have been thinking of a better gift for my 9-year old son. He will celebrate his birthday soon. We've given him psp, toys, and clothes before. Now, we're really running out of ideas. Could you suggest a better gift for my son.

Hello jsae, for a 9 year old boy, I think a set of some nice books would be a good gift, especially if he likes to read then you could get him a gift set of all Harry Potter books. Or a set of comics that he would like to have.

What a coincidence! Well, today is my son's 9th birhday!
Well, I just gave him a surpise by cooking bake macaroni and "pansit". This is what he requested from me. Cooking today for his birthday is a big deal for him because usually, we just went to mall and eat at his fave fastfood.
I'm thinking of giving him a cellular phone. He needs one actually as we are busy during the day and he is just attended by someone on luch and afternoons. I believe he is responsible and can have one

There is an ipad that I bought for my son sometimes ago. It is not very high tech like the usual ipads but it works well. You can download all types of games, take photos (not so clear) and use wi-fi to access to social network. My son is only 8 years so the only thing that he needs right now is games so no need to worry about wi-fi for that age. It costs around $190. Unfortunately, there was something wrong with the battery so I had to return it back to the shop to have a new battery. I could have given you the details if you are interested. I will be getting it back by the end of this month, so if you want the details, I can provide them at that time.

Dear
At this age I would no recommend electronics . Give him something real because one day all of his "things " are going to end up in a landfill (I know it's sad to say now but it's the truth) but memories will last forever.for example you could give him a vacation to where ever he wants to go.if that's not possible maybe a new bike and books? Or gift cards to his favorite places? Or a pet? There are many opitions.

Actually this was my son in law's daughter 10th B'day on 16 June. I had a plan to give her a PC but while she asked for a laptop which was a little out of my budget I paid them in cash to spend it as they liked most. I think he will add some money and would bring a laptop.
