Which singing or talent competetion will join?

Last month, our family went all crazy about American Idol. We were, course, cheering for the lovely Jessica Sanchez. But it came to my mind, what if I have the talent of Jessica Sanchez? Will I audition for American Idol? Or should I try other singing or talent search such as X-factor or America's got talent?
