An ATM error gave over a million dollar away to a man.

From February-August of 2009, the man withdrew a total of 1.5 million dollars from his ATM in which an error occurred (he only had like a hundred dollar in his ATM from Dec.-August of 2008). The thing is, instead of reporting it to the bank, he used the money to casinos in Vegas and Detroit.
Now, he is asked to repay the bank and definitely be spending time in prison.

Guess I agree with lamb. Yes, the bank is at fault and made a grave mistake, but he shouldn't have taken advantage of the situation. Honestly, if it happens that I would see an enormous amount of money in my bank account, god! I'd be scared to hell. Coz' I don't know where that money came from, it could be from a mafia or something' LOL! but really right? and I don't want to be suspected as a thief, so I'd go immediately to the bank and tell them. Well for the sake of not judging the man upfront,(because we're only humans, we make mistakes right?) he maybe really got tempted.
Given that, it still can't be an excuse, he committed a wrong doing and he's still liable.
Just sayin.'
Guys, thanks for the responses...Amazing:)

If he didn't had enough money, and he could withdraw this huge amount, he has certainly done crime; he has to face the consequences..

Hi friend, it's very crazy. The man is really greedy, so only he don't report about the error to the bank, now he is facing problems due to his activity. As you mentioned he wasted his money for casinos and gambling, he is deserved for the punishment
