The BUTTON that can save the day

It really amazes me that they came to invent the "undo" button. Simple button but powerful - it can change the thought 360 degrees of anything you put into it, can change the whole content of a composition or a worksheet. When I compare this to our life particularly at the office, we can undo some things but we must pay the prize of that deed. We may find it hard to undo any harm that resulted from our inconsiderate words and actions to our co-workers. I admit, I have been harsh to one of my staff due to his slight stubborness. I already made an apology but then the damage is done. I'll be more careful on my words or that action next time. Any same situation or experience at your office or even anywhere? Please share. Thanks

My uncle used to tell me that i should be careful of what i say or do to others. There's no delete button on the memories of those people whom we have hurt and though we can apologize and try to change things, what's been done has been done.

Very well said. That's why I always watch now what I say, becasue there is no turning back on those words we utter. Thanks

Yep - we can "undo" on the computer . . . but there is no "undo" in real life. Recently my sister said some things to me that were uncalled for . . . she blew things way out of proportion. Not that she apologized (because she won't), it has already left a mark with me. We had gotten together as a family this weekend, and she went on as nothing had happened - but I had not forgotten. An "undo" button just to forget the bad things in life would be wonderful - but alas, that's not the way life works, right?

You are right much2say. It's perfectly normal to commit mistakes but we should be humane to accept the consequences. Every one of us has a purpose in this life. Thanks

hi mikyung yes indeed it can save the day at work but we poor humans have no such button so cannot undue a harsh word. we can apologize but this does not always help either. Here I \even made a discussion about a resident named Alice and how she got so irritating always complaining about the food. the last time I spoke to her I admonished her about her complainiong. a month ago she had a stroke and now she goes"ah ay glay" and canot really talk to us. I wish I could undo how I treated here. she was so articulate and so friendly and now she cannot fluidly at all. she seems so frail . the stroke just completely changed her. Now I cannot even talk to her at all. I do wish that more could be done to prevent people from getting strokes like that.

So sad to know that. Even a single word or just small things can really make or break a person's life. Life has it's own way of explaining things. Thanks for sharing

Haha yeah I agree, I would love to have an undo button, especially when I'm not feeling happy at times, or when I'm just tense because of what just happened to me...and that happens to everyone, I know people that control their anger very easily but that's admirable! I wish I had that button ;)

Welcome to mylot samzls. I'm glad you made your first response here. The One above is so amazing that he did not provide us that button. Otherwise, it may be abused and may be used for personal goals.
