Those Darn Snakes

Most of last week I had been mainly been dreaming about snakes... I have a fear of snakes and everytime I saw one in my dreams I would begin to freak out and eventually wake up trying to catch my breath. My most vivid dream of snakes took place in a garden setting. I was mowing a lawn that didn't belong to me and a snake began to crawl underneath the lawn mower.. There was also another snake but I can't exactly remember what happened to it. When I was walking home today from my grandmothers I encountered a dead snake on the side of the road and immediately freaked out. I really don't like them!
Should I be worried when I dream about snakes?...

Snakes!!! in your dream,oh you have reasons to fear them.
Now try living in my house,you will have snakes falling on your head from the ceiling.
Once a small snake (about 2 feet long) fell in my hand,i shook it off and it fell off,i killed it with a stick.
Another time i saw one,on the floor,I had university exam that day,so woke early3 o clock,i saw a black thing crawling,it was moving slowly.From the looks of it,it had crawled from, my cot(under).I managed to poke it and to move it to the door,I killed it by jamming its head between the door and the wall,its wiggled its body in the air.
I like animals,but i fear snakes.Everything about snakes makes my skin "crawl".And having to encounter it in really life is a gruesome experience.
I am against killing anything,but i had no choice,what if it had bitten me,if it was day time,i would have left it alone.
