being in the philippines, people would usually complain about the lack of jobs and the lack of money and having a corrupt government and etc. but still the poor people love the fact that they can get out of the house and just gossip all day without worrying to work. i bet they can't do that in other countries specially in rich nation countries. so here if you are contented in your life and are able to manage your expenses, living a simple life is quite good . i don't like stress of being a very fast paced city where every one seems to be working and does not do any thing except to work.

Yes brother, we have lota spare time. We have no job actually. We are just bartering away our time just by gossiping. How would you manage your expenses? We are trying to tie things with a short rope but in vain. We have no life standard. We can meet our problems in any perfect standard and way. Our govts are to idiot to understand these. Actually our well being or survival lies in a good work. Science and technologies are under developed countries' capture with a tight copy right. They will survive as because cause we are forced to die.

I am not quite sure what you mean by them not having anything to worry about and can just gossip. Here in the US, poor people worry and scrounge and hope they have enough to feed themselves, their children, pay the bills, etc.

Right now, lack of money and a corrupt government seems to be the problem the world over. Actually, it's easier here to gossip instead of work for some people than you might think.

a pleasant day hotsummer, with regard to your topic, i do believed that living in any country has its own advantages and disadvantages as well. hence, it does not go afar like a life with ups and downs. and with what you have mentioned, stress are also found even in other countries. thus, living in a past faced environment has its own benefits as well. sometimes, its up to the people who lived in the place, on how he/she looks at it. perhaps, we should learn how to have a well-balanced living. having faith to God and do our part. hence, no matter what type of country we live, if we have exercised what is proper, then, we have the chance to stand out among the rest.

Hi! I agree with you. In the Philippines, you can survive even when you are poor unlike in rich country where everyone is working hard or harder to survive. But when there's an advantage, there will always be disadvantages. I love our country even though our government officials are mostly corrupt and we are a third world country. Here, the people are respectful especially with their parents and elders. The children obey their parents, well at least most unlike any other country. We are respectful with those older than us and we always say "po" and "opo", "ate", "kuya"...

Every country has its own specialities with bot positive and negative side. I actually hate the word third world country. Each country has the right of equality and even a super power nation can fall down in a single night. So we should just adapt to where we live. There is no place called to be a perfect country and so.

I guess that is true. In the very developed countries, people worry all day long about their jobs, and they do not have time to do anything else. They don't have a real life, they don't have as much fun as they should and could. And this is quite sad. Only after they retire they have time for the important things, like travelling or friends.

We just have to make the most of our life as there are always advantages as well as disadvantages where ever we live. Even those who are living in a harsh place, will be equipped to cope in order to survive. Because of their situation, some people will be tougher and more resilient than others which I found was the case in some third world countries.

I want to stay in our country but I also want to be successful in life. Yes I have been in other countries and I can see that people really work that hard. I planned to adopt their style actually but leaving enough time for my family. In my thought, I know that even in our country, we could be successful if we will just work harder.

I would say life in the Philipiines is never easy but I will still love it there, Life in a different country is not as jolly, people doesn't really socialize and make friends with each other as we do in the Philippines. I have been here for 4 years and I still dont know my neighbours name.
