Hi taura, if you wanna quit smoking, you have to take a high voltage commitment or determination firstly. Secondly you must take it a challenge as like the challenge of climbing the Mount Everest. Just start to eat much some fruits and vegetables and gradually increase it. Fruits and vegetables produces one kind of reluctancy for smoking. Replace your smoking with other eating or drinking hobbies. Remember none of this world can make you quit bad habits like smoking if you dont try to quit. Anyway I like your short posts. Because these are not time consuming to read and digest.lol wish you write more and more and wish you quit smoking.

hi Taura2p!
if only quiting were as easy as starting lol! but it's not. if u have friends and family that also do that then it's going to be harder on you to quit.
i used to smoke but not at all heavely or anything. i just kinda slept on the idea of quiting and after i smelled my hand for the last time i said goodbye to cigerates for good. i had a whole carton left and sold every last one. I used to smoke the menthols and at the time they were a hot comodity so they sold fast and u wouldn't believe how much i sold them for and ppl actually bought them! i would sell 1 cig for 1$ and a whole pack for 10$! i think it sold fast because ppl were feening. they were realy craving cigs like a pg woman to ice cream and peanut butter or pickles and ice cream!!
get support froom ur family and friends. if they wont support u....i will! and i dont even have to know u! try chewing gum. try to keep ur hands busy because u know the feeling u get when u want one...thats when u should be like 'no no no no i am better than that!' and u r

First and foremost you cannot stop abruptly. That would make you want to smoke more.
Have you tried tossing a sweet into your mouth each time you got the urge? This I am told works. Try it. If you are a diabetic there are sugar free sweets!

My parents quit smoking 8 years ago. My dad smoked 1.5 packs per day. They both used the nicotine patch and they quit pretty fast and without too much trouble. I was very surprised with how well they did actually. They used the patch as it was directed and slowly cut down the patch and they quit...They were ready to kick the habit. They told us if they didn't really want to stop the patch or anything else would not have helped them quit.
I hope this helps and I hope you quit soon if you really want to.

You need to avoid that triggers it. As for me - I kept an arms length on my peers. I can smoke more than a pack when I'm with them. I think, discipline and prayers can fight it. Keep the "mind over matter" policy always if possible. Good luck.

I wish I had some helpful advice for you. I've tried to quit a few times, but my problem is that my husband, best friend, sister, and mother all smoke, and after a few days I just don't have to willpower to stay strong and end up caving in. I guess part of it is that I know I SHOULD quit, but I'm not quite to the point that I really WANT to quit. I've smoked since I was 15 and am 28 now. And like you I'm finding that I've been smoking more lately. I feel like a damned junky as far as cigs go. Have yo had any luck quitting?

Hi friend, sad to hear about this, as you know smoking is injurious to health, why you increased this habit? previously i had this habit, but i reduced it gradually, now i quit it fully. We have the ability to give up our bad habits with our determination. Reduce your smoking habit day by day, finally you will quit it one day with your determination. All the best
