The summer season for TV

Summer has come here to the US. What that means for TV these days is that the broadcast TV networks have started running reruns of their hit TV shows. The not so hot TV shows have been replaced by a new crop of reality shows instead of getting a chance to go into reun and possibly finding an audience worthy enough to bring the show back. For summer TV watching, it seems like the cable TV networks are the ones to watch for new shows or new episodes of their shows. One of favorites, Burn Notice is back so we get to see how Michael will rescue Fiona from the FBI (you know it's gonna happen, it's just a question of how and when).
One of my problems though is that the most interesting shows all seem to be running on Sunday night. Longmire is a new show that seems pretty good. Falling Skies is back and has added some new twists. Ice Road Truckers, one of the few 'reality' shows I watch, is back but what happened to Lisa?
So what do you think about the summer TV season? What new shows have you turned on?

Hello burrito88
Why is it a problem for you that the most interesting television shows are on Sunday night? Is it because you can't watch more than one show at once? Do you have a Tivo-type device so that you can record shows while you're watching another?
I remember when I was a lad, I always wanted to see The Wonderful World of Disney, but it was on Sunday night, and my family worshipped on Sunday nights when this television show aired. I only saw it a couple of times.
Peace
I love the world!!

I have a DVR but it's hooked up to the TV in my living room which only gets local channels. When I downgraded my cable service, they apparently put a resister in the line to that set but did not block the standard cable channels to the TV's in my bedroom and my sun room. Since I get cable channels because of the cable company's mistake, I don't believe I am stealing the signals, especially since my cable bill is high anyway.

I don't really think it matters. TV is obsolete these days, the internet is taking over. You can watch any show, any time, without commercials for free. I'm more looking forward to around September, when dexter and bones return.

As I said above, not every show is available on the Internet and many may have a fee. Besides, most of the shows originate from TV networks so aren't they still TV whether seen through a cable hook up or the Internet?
