I am sure most of you by now have read about and seen the video that has gone viral on the bullying of bus monitor, Karen Klein. I haven't even clicked the play button yet as simply reading the report caused deep emotions to swell and tears to flow. This type of violence against others has got to stop! We see and hear about it among children. Even some adults have bully and abuse tendencies. But seriously, what is it that we are teaching our children? What are they seeing or not seeing that is causing them to be influenced and inflict harm onto others...for no reason? We as human beings are born with an untouchable strength, but we can only take so much. My heart goes out to Mrs. Klein for her strength, but enough is enough. What are your thoughts?

This is one of Dr. Phil's regular subjects.
Bulling is a terrible thing, but unfortunately a bully bullies because he or she has insecurities.
So if you want to stop the bullying, you will have to completely overhaul life in such a way that everybody grows up happy and have just about no insecurities. This is a challenge for very smart people to figure out, because though I have the utmost admiration for campaigns against bullying, these mostly deal with the bullying itself, which is but a symptom of other problems in our society.

Exactly the feedback I've been waiting for. Thank you.
In a society where there is nothing but issues and circumstances, insecurities are inevitable. So in a sense these acts cannot be stopped, they have to be prevented from ever starting...just like every other problem in society. This is a sad reality.
However, aside from society on a whole, we as individuals can do our little part to embrace, teach and guide our children in order to eliminate the development of such insecurities. Do it in a way that will slightly alter the overall "mentality" of society (so to speak).

That video is disgusting. I just don't understand how people can be so hateful towards other human beings these days. It is horrible the way we treat each other. I must say that kids are very bad about this. My Mama drives a school bus and works at the school as a Teacher's Assistant as well. She tells me some stories that make me cringe. She has had several problems with a few students on her bus route but turning them into the Principle did not work. After turning in the same 3 students several times and no response from the Principle she finally went to the school superintendent. (The school district has video monitors on the bus that records daily records of the students on the bus.) The superintendent finally stepped in and did something about it. The students in question were suspended off of the bus and my Mama received an apology from the Principle as well as Bus Driver of the Year for her district. The Principle's lack of support seemed to come from fear of the parents of the students.... In this regard I guess the apple did not fall far from the tree. The students were rowdy and disrespectful and so is the mother. It all starts at home... Parents need to be more responsible for their children and their actions. If a child is disrespectful in this manner the child and the parents should be held accountable.

Bullying is a dispicable act. It is usually the only way the bullies can get a up on there victims. However when we think of bullying most people think of children being bullied at school, but it is a major problem amoungst adults too. I must admit, to my ultimate shame, I have found myself bullying someone in the past but as soon as I have realised I have apologised and am now on a constant lookout for any argument that may be turning in the nasty way, and for other people, I hate bullying, it stunts the potential of so many people
