Samuel Wurzelbacher (AKA Joe the plumber), who is run for representative, ran a political ad against gun control trying to tie gun control in other countries to mass deaths by those governments. In the on-line ad he says: “In 1939, Germany established gun control,” he says. “From 1939 to 1945, six million Jews and seven million others, unable to defend themselves, were exterminated,” he says before ending the video by saying “I love America.” When questioned about this he said that he wasn't saying that gun control caused the Holocaust, but he doesn't explain what the ad was meant by bring it up.
Do you think it was inappropriate to try to tie gun control to the Holocaust? Also, what do you think of people continuing to say that Obama wants to get rid of guns when here is no proof of this happening?
