I loved that show! She was so cute and had a rhaspy voice for such a little girl. I don't like to admit this, but a lot of the episodes brought tears to my eyes because her character was so caring of others. If I remember correctly, one of the writers or directors of the show had a crush on a girl named Punky Brewster when he was in gradeschool.

Yeah I do remember vaguely watching it but I think I watched an animated series of it and that would have been late 80's or early 90's I'd think. I'm finding it hard to remember but I know who Punky Brewster is :)

Yes, there was a Punky Brewster cartoon. I didn't watch it. I loved watching cartoons as a kid but not as an adult.

Fair enough, I thought there might have been an age gap between us as I would have been a kid when the aniimated series was on :)

I love your picture! I used to collect lion stuff. When I was in Jr high or high school there was a movie called "Born Free". It was about a couple who raised some lions. I think that's when I started collecting them. A few years ago I sold most of my collection at a garage sale. I kept the ones that my husband gave to me before we were married.
Hey, I just kinda went down memory lane - thank you for that!

Yeah, I remember it. I didn't watch it much tho...to "young" for me and to "young" for my kids..they were older so it wasn't appealing to them. But I caught it a few times and it was a cute show. Nothing like the crap they have today! My little 5 yo grand daughter was given the box set for christmas and she just loves it...even likes to dress like the character did! I sure do miss the good shows of the 70's, 80's..the good family sitcoms.

That's so cute that your granddaughter likes the show, and likes to dress like Punky!
