Oh! Indeed it is a very good news for the Asian football. I hope he can play well in the team. But, at the same time Chelsea looses one of their main strikers. Let us wait and see how this well affect the whole team .

Yes, he is joining his old friend and team mate Nicholas Anelka at Shangdong FC. It is great for the Chinese football to have these top stars playing in their domestic league. This would definitely help their next generation of players and help develop China as a footballing nation.
Cheers!

It's nice to hear that some football stars are joining the Asian teams. This could help boost Asian football and bring the quality of play to a higher level for Asians.
Besides Drogba who will be coming to China, I once read that there was also one prominent football coach who has now joined the Chinese national football team - the former coach of the 2006 Italian national team. I can't remember his name but what I can attribute to him is that he was the team's head coach when Italy won the World Cup back then.
Asian football needs to step up. As a World Cup host for Qatar 2022, people around the world expect that Asia must not just be able to showcase world-class pitches, stadiums, facilities and stuffs. But they also expect that an Asian nation should at the least reach the final rounds of the World Cup competition just like how the South Koreans did it when they reached semifinals in 2002.
The future is Asia!

Drogba to play in the Chinese Super League is good news for Chinese football. I am sure that with Drogba's professionalism, he will contribute immensely to his team and showcase his skill and passion for the game. I hope his team will win the league next season as it may be too late this season with their less than good results so far. With more good foreign import players and coaches, the standard of Chinese football will improve gradually. Just take a look at Japan, where were they 20 years ago?
