Crazy.. I woke up AT 7:00 AM and start working on variety of online work as I took my breakfast and end up 10:00 PM for my dinner. I did took a break and did more work online until 1:00 AM. It really pushed me to my limit of being online normally for 10 hours straight. Thisis just by sending a lot of emails, editing proposals for our upcoming event and sending it to other companies and elsewhere when needed. I also delegate jobs to my teammate who have also been with me online but logs off when they have school or work; or any necessary work needed. Who amoung you have been online for longer hours and tell me your experiences. I'm about to open a topic right now on how to fix my netbook's screen. It keeps on blinking off. (could be the LCD of it has being forced to do hard work for 16 hours. LOL) Let me know your feedback. Thanks and happy mylotting~!!

I often find that I have been on the internet for that amount of time as well, but that is because I have to work from home on the internet, so I really don't have any other option but to spend that much time at my computer. I always make sure that I take a break at least once every hour and go for a walk or something, as this means that I am able to clear my head and get at least a little bit of exercise, and this is very helpful for me in the long term as it is very unhealthy to just be sitting in the same place for the whole of the day.

Taking breaks sounds like a good idea, doing some jumping jacks or a walk like you said to keep your body limber and promote some good habits. Thanks for the tip and i'll try to use them myself!

It is easy for me to stay online too long. If the kids don't distract me I can stay online all day and all night long. I never get the chance any longer though. The twins are 7 months old and not sleeping as much as they use to and the 2 year old is a bundle of energy constantly.

Yep! children can definetely be a big bundle and a good distraction for us from things like surfing for long hours. I am not able to do as much for sure when my nieces come to visit. Sometime I do not even try because I know i will just be pulled away.

I've done that before, been online for a day or more. It's not healthy and I try to take as many breaks as I can. I'm going to be online more now that I asked for fewer hours at work but that's okay. It gives me more time to concentrate on things. Just make sure, we both need to, make sure that we get up and stretch, walk away from the screen for five mintue intervals every say 2 hours. That way we are not staring at the screen. It's recommended that we glance away for a minute every 30 minutes as well.

hi resy. that's a long time to be online. 16 hours is no joke. i think i can go online for 16 hours as well but after maybe the 5th or 6th hour, i'll gladly go on a break and do something else for the next one or two and then come back posting here in mylot. like maybe go for a short walk or even do a couple of exercises. maybe read a book or even watch my favorite scene in a particular movie. or maybe just sleep and rest my tired and weary eyes and hands. again, that's just me. to each his own i guess. anyway, hopefully, the time you put in here in mylot gets rewarded handsomely. cheers and happy mylotting resy!

I really can not do that. My eyes would get blurry after some time in front of a computer. But you can have a lot of output by doing that thing.

Just like me, woke up at 6:00 AM and start online, break at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. finally, at 1:00 PM I end my work and directly go to bed, that's my crazy routine.

Now a days I am free from my jobs and I enjoy my days well. I mostly used to stay online for hours. This is how I enjoy my days now. I used to stay a long period of time in internet. I love surfing and it helps me to pass out my free hours.

I have never been on the computer more than 6 hours. Probably because I never have enough work to keep me occupied for that long. When I play computer games, it gets boring after 3 hours. Computers are not really a hobby for me. About your screen. You should be able to fix it yourself easily, just take off the front casing, remove some screws, theres a cord that connects the screen to the computer, if your screen is compatible, you can plug it in, replace all screws, and the casing. Wala! Well, if you don't trust yourself, I would recommend a completely new computer. Shipping your computer to the repair place, paying the 300 dollars it costs to repair the screen is all too much for me. Went way off topic sorry :)

Sure this can happen when we get busy. We may lose track of time from doing an assortment of online tasks all the day long. I do this on occasion and I am sure that this site will be one that is going to aid me in those long hours of staring or ' working ' on my computer. I basically do an assortment of online sites like this one and sometimes I just forget from playing games and I will still be playing late at night. Time to get some sleep and give your netbook a break though :)
