...funny part here is the unit is not being shuts off. It happened as I put my netbook in some part of my bag in which I have to put in in there for easier carry-along process. Thing is; I have change my laptop bag to something thinner so it wioll fit perfectly in my big black bag (being mentioned in other posts and I have pics of it if you want to check) And for some reasons; when I was about to use it, I noticed that it takes time to light up. Then as I check it; the stupid part here is I applied pressure and pinch the LCD in between the cover/ lid/ back part of the LCD and it did RESPOND and light up. Now,, my quick fix for this is to put a pinch of paper in between the main LCD screen and the edge of the LCD frame to apply enough pressure in lighting it up or showing images up. Thing is, I know it is so inappropriate (so much for the quick remedy which is not for too long; it will die up on me if I take that paper off) Can you help me guys? I don't have money to go to a technician right now and I may be doing it next month if all else fails. Thanks

Unless you know how to disassemble laptop and put everything back, i suggest you take your laptop to a technician. Or if you're curious, you can search youtube with "disassemble your-laptop-brand laptop" and see how the cable should be plugged. If the laptop is still under warranty, then it would be safer to bring it to the place you buy it, they probably can fix it for you with no charge.

hi surfer: Don't mess with laptops, they so easy to damage. When they do, they are very hard to repair and costly too, the best option is to throw away the damaged one and buy another with the cost of repair approaching the price of it. I completely agree with you, bring the unit to a qualified service technician for evaluation and repair.

Thanks. What I did so far is to put a piece of scotch tape between the flex cable and the screen to the board. Thanks for your advice :) It did fix the problem though because the LCD Backlight keeps on shutting off since it is already loosen up from the main board. I don't have ample time to make use of the soldering iron and put it back into place/ secure them into place but that's up for the moment :D

looks like a problem with the flexible cable...have it replaced with a new flex and problem will be solved...it would only cost a few hundreds or something around eight hundred pesos service fee for the technician included...

Yeah, that's what I have thought over a week. I did have my screw drivers handy with me and what's good about it is... it did worked. LOL Now I am using it again and ti works wonders. Being a cellphone technician, I have just though of studying more about laptops and what are their components so I can save other gadgets when needed. LOL. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and Happy mylotting :)
